About this property

Dog Friendly Cabin w/ hot tub & stunning mountain views

Welcome to this luxury mountain cabin, and enjoy top-level amenities including a large back deck surrounded by trees and serene views of distant mountain ridges! This cabin offers a private hot tub, plentiful shaded outdoor seating, and a koi pond right off the deck with two waterfalls, providing the sounds of a rippling creek. The cabin, which is beautifully landscaped, also has a large fenced backyard for dogs that is accessible directly from the deck via a wooden ‘ramp’.
Indoors, the focal point of the living area is the original stone wood-burning fireplace, which opens to the upgraded, modern kitchen, fully stocked with cooking equipment (no dishwasher). There is also a large outdoor propane grill for use. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs with its own private bathroom and separate entrance. Plenty of games, including giant Jenga, Yahtzee, and a dartboard are provided. This home has plenty of space that is perfectly suited for a group getaway or family get together. The owners fell in love with this vintage, fully-modernized cabin when they first stepped foot into it and they enjoy it as their second home, and they are happy to share their ‘piece of paradise’ dream home with you!
You'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy all of the beautiful nature Idyllwild has to offer from this quiet location in the Pine Cove neighborhood! You'll be just minutes from Mt. San Jacinto, Fuller Ridge, and Black Mountain, which draw mountain bikers, hikers, and climbers. Or if you choose to venture south, you will find Mt San Jacinto State Park and Idyllwild Nature Center, great for picnicking, watching for birds, and photography. Pack up the car and take a quick 7-minute drive to the center of Idyllwild is only 5 minutes away, where you can enjoy an array of comfort foods, shop some of Idyllwild’s local arts and crafts, enjoy the Idyllwild Brewpub, wine tasting at Middle Ridge Winery, or even check out the latest blockbuster at the charming local Rustic Theatre.

Cozy cabin in the mountains
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed our family time over Christmas. The cabin was beautifully decorated for the occasion. There were 6 of us so there was not enough room for us all to sit comfortably in front of the TV. The 3rd bedroom and 2nd bathroom is downstairs off the garage. It is nice if someone wants privacy. We decided to do some baking in the beautiful oven but it was hard to figure out even with the given directions. We would return. The sunsets were amazing and the hot tub was perfect. You feel like you are in your own world. The cabin seemed newly renovated. Our dog was so happy to go down the doggie ramp to a fenced in area under the cabin.

Beautiful Property Needs a Deep Clean
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this property has a lot to offer. However, I would recommend the owners remove the carpet especially since they are a pet friendly home. Two of the bedrooms smelled strongly of pet urine and we had to sleep with the windows wide open. Fine for a summer night but not ideal if there had been inclemente weather.

Well equipped
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin is very spacious and equipped with whatever you may need to cook, including a nice BBQ grill, sleep, etc. Only negative for us was the hot tub is in the deck, not above, so not really easy access. Also, the deck railing is rather low and one could easily have a mishap. The rails are very open too. I would not recommend for a family with small children. The dogs were quite happy with the ramp to the fenced in yard and could visit nose to nose with the dog below. Our dogs didn't jump the fence adjacent to the ramp, but that's not to say another dog wouldn't. Lots of nice touches, including a dog bed, Amazon echo and more. Oh, when we arrived there was no power. There apparently was planned blackout, no big deal, but wasn't told that when we checked in. We would have stayed in town and enjoyed a beverage or snack as we didn't want to unpack not knowing about the outage and when it might come back on. Not to mention no air conditioning. A quick search did give us an ETA. Still would recommend this cabin.
