Amaterra Condo
My family and i stayed at this condo from feb 2-feb 26, 2024. I would like to note that we were misled by the listing on vrbo, which claimed the construction would be completed by dec. 2023, however this was not the case and our stay was impacted very heavily by the noise and dust from the construction that is a few meters away. Nonetheless, i have broken down the pros and cons of the unit: pros: -extremely clean, the unit was sparkling clean when we got there. Because we stayed for a month, we were entitled to free cleaning on a weekly basis, and this was an excellent perk. -location: this unit is roughly a 6 min walk from the beach (accessible via the riu), very close walk to 3 restaurants, wal mart, costco, pharmacy - building- the amaterra building is well maintained. The building was constantly being cleaned, the pool is in excellent condition, and the gym is also decently equipped and always clean -unit- the unit is spacious, has well—functioning appliances and comfortable beds. It can easily sleep 4 adults cons: - the construction taking place right next door creates a lot of noise. On occasion, it can be heard until 10pm at night - smell - we found that on some days, depending on the wind, there was an extremely foul odour, at times which was unbearable, that came from a nearby sewage treatment facilities. It made using the outdoor amenities impossible and created an unpleasant experience - unit amenities - lacking beach umbrella and chairs
