Welcome to Lucky Penny

Heads up! Welcome to the Lucky Penny, walk through the front door and feel like you are about to luck out on the best vacation. This charming home has been remodeled from top to bottom and is aiming to please. Enough space for four inside, but if you want to bring more there is a camper/rv hookup. Inside find an open floor plan, high ceilings, and a fresh new look. The outdoor space is great! The Lucky Penny sits on a double lot, meaning a large yard for games, bonfires, and your friend's camper. The location is right smack in the middle of Saugatuck and South Haven, spend your days in either city. There is a public lake access point only a mile away! Find your luck here at the Lucky Penny.

Amazing and Relaxing Stay

We stayed here the week of our wedding at Black Sheep Shelter. Loved coming home to the string lights illuminating the yard at night. Easy to use key code entry. Good water pressure and hot water. Would stay here again.

Michigan Trip

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the “Lucky Penny.” We loved the aesthetics and warmth of the cottage. The kitchen and bathroom were so clean and updated. The front porch was so cozy and our kids loved the outdoor space and hammock.

Great Getaway

This was the perfect size home away from home. Location was perfect, right in the middle of Saugatuck and South Haven yet nice and quiet area. Loved having coffee on the porch and walk to the beach.

Perfect getaway

Sweet cottage in the woods

The house was clean and very cutely decorated. It was easy to make yourself feel at home. Would have loved to enjoy the wonderful fire pit and the stars above, but we had events to attend (our reason for being in the area).

Nice little cabin and great location

It was a wonderful little cabin and the location is great if you don’t want to be in with all the crowds. The communication from property manger was a little confusing but they responded quickly. The place inside was wonderful .. needed more towels and the sleep sofa was not sleepable. Overall great little get away place to stay!

Couples getaway

We had a wonderful stay! There had been a town wide power outage before our stay and the hosts were so accommodating to help get the fridge running again. They were kind, with quick responses anytime we needed anything! Lots of brew pubs, beautiful hiking, antique malls, small town shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back! The house was the perfect size for 2 adults. They had dishes, coffee, & extra amenities.

Time to Relax

Lucky Penny was an amazing place and we would love to be able to come back some time. We needed some time away to relax and reset emotionally from some life events and this place was exactly what we needed. It is such a cottage feel that is so homey and inviting. We had everything we needed to feel like we were in our home away from home. Also the location is excellent. The area is quiet and close to the lake so you can walk down and enjoy the tranquility or you can drive north or south just a little ways and enjoy things to do. We went to Grand Rapids, Holland, South Haven and everywhere in between. Exploring was so much fun. I highly recommend a stay at Lucky Penny.

over all was very good, some points to consider. *let guest know which door to use, when there are more than 1 keypad. * reception is different for everyone, so trying to use QR code or internet may not work to receive information. * cold months, might want to turn up heat - took way to long to warm up the house.

Michigan summer 2023

Had a wonderful trip and loved Lucky Penny home! The house was clean, comfortable and update. There was a large yard with grill and fire pit. We were a close walk to a small beach and a short drive to the public beach. The neighborhood was quiet and we took many walks/runs along the road/ lake shore. We were close to the Glenn store for groceries and excellent pizza! The real estate company responded quickly to our questions, and even dropped of some dry wood for the fire pit after a rain. I think our favorite part of the house was the front porch, where we spent mornings drinking coffee and a few evenings watching it rain. For a small family, couple or group of friends it is the perfect Michigan cottage. We for sure hope to stay at Lucky Penny again!

Adorable, adorable, adorable! Just as pictured, super cute design! This property is perfect for a two-person getaway. Really enjoyed coming back here after a day of exploring the area. It is in a nice central location for visiting quaint towns and beaches in the area. We stopped in St. Joe on the way there and then after arriving explored South Haven, Saugatuck and Douglas, none of which are too far away. It is on a very quiet street with hardly any traffic at all. They had outdoor string lighting on a timer that provides a nice ambience and a fire pit as well. There is a small corner grocery just down the road and also a sandwich/pizza place for food. We never ordered from there, so can’t comment on that, but it was nice to have the option available. The whole place is small but completely adequate for two people. The only thing that could have made it better for me was having a fan provided. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but it made a sound that was keeping me awake when turned on high, so had to only use it in low. That is the only issue we had. And actually it was only an issue for me…my husband had no trouble falling asleep. This was a 5 star stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come here again.

Lucky Penny Stay in Glenn, MI

The check in process was simple and easy. The property was clean and ready to go upon our arrival and all household items, linens, etc were out and/or easily found. Jaqua Properties also sent us a digital guide with info re: the property and amenities and activities in the surrounding area which made finding places to go/thungs to do that much easier. The Lucky Penny is a cozy updated cottage that backs up to a wooded area and was quiet and relaxing. It's only a 10-15 minute drive to most other amenities and activities in the area (hiking, beaches.restaurants, shops, etc). We did come back from a day trip out and about to find the power had gone out. I called the emergency number to report it. In less than 10 mins I was contacted by one of the Property Managers (Ann) who had already researched things and learned there was a power outage in the area (it was windy that day) and provided me with an ETA of when the power was expected back on. She also had already began looking into contigency properties in case the outage was prolonged. Fortunately, the power came back on shortly after I got off the phone with Ann and she even checked in a couple hours later just to make sure we were ok and to inform me that she had confirmed the issue had been fully resolved. We really appreciated her follow-up! In all, we had a wonderful stay at both the property and exploring the surrounding area and plan to come back again at some point in the future.
