This beautifully updated early 1900's workers cottage has been sympathetically restored and styled to combine it's charming heritage features with today's modern comforts. The Mulberry Cottage is versatile in its appeal and is as equally suited for a couples romantic getaway as it is for a girls get-together, a family of four, or a solo retreat.
Mulberry Cottage is located just 15 minutes from Cañon City in the town of Florence - considered the 'Antique Capital of Colorado'. You can experience Florence's small town feel with a walk of just a few short blocks to Main Street. Here you'll find The Pour House coffee shop, Aspen Leaf bakery, Two Scoops ice-cream parlor, Florence Brewing Company, and a variety of restaurants. Stop along the way to browse the many antique stores and unique shops that this former historic mining town has to offer. During summer months you can cool off in our hometown outdoor pool, visit the Farmers' Market (held every Thursday), or indulge at one of the area's wineries or cideries.
Being centrally located in the Royal Gorge Region makes The Mulberry Cottage a marvelous home base for enjoying activities such as; world class white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, ziplining, Jeep tours, and Gold Medal fishing (to name a few!). The world-famous Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, scenic Royal Gorge Route Railroad and seasonal Santa Train are located in the neighboring town of Cañon City. Slightly further afield are the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Bishop's Castle, Westcliffe, Cripple Creek's casinos and the historic Mollie Kathleen Mine.
After a day of exploring the area, retreat to the cottage and gather around the welcoming fireplace with a glass of wine to catch up on your day's adventures. The window seat next to the fireplace is the perfect spot to cozy up and enjoy a good read, or stretch out and take a nap on the extra long sofa. Banquette seating around the dining table is great for a shared meal or for spending time together playing a round of board games.

At day's end, we encourage you to crank open the bathroom windows to let in the sounds of summer as you unwind in the fabulous oversized zero-entry shower. With an endless supply of hot water you can linger under the rainfall, regular and hand held shower heads before stepping out onto the heated floors. You're sure to feel pleasantly rejuvenated and ready to retire to one of the nicely appointed bedrooms.
