About this property

Bear Valley Outdoor Inn is an 'Oasis for Wildlife.'

Catch and release trout season is open!

Book a getaway to relax, hike, and enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful area, or to enjoy trout fishing in the local trout stream.

Private, air-conditioned, fully furnished, clean and unique accommodations. Enjoy the comfortable, away-from-it-all atmosphere.

We are located in the heart of beautiful Bear Valley and the confluence of five scenic drainage's. 750 acres of public land lay to the south. The remaining boundaries are surrounded by a privately owned wildlife refuge.

We are centrally located within a half hour of some of the most popular attractions of Southwest WI as well as some unique and tranquil settings within minutes.

Some of the activities that can be enjoyed from our front door are hunting, fishing, biking, motorcycling, snowmobiling, bird and wildlife watching, or just relaxing around one of our camp fires.

Also popular is the quality trout fishing available within walking distance. Trout fishing continues to get better as Bear Creek was recently improved under a stream bank improvement and trout habitat project.

Bear Creek Trout Habitat Improvement Project is nearly all under DNR easements with two walk-in public access points on Hwy 130, as well as access off the bridge on Hwy N, just feet from Outdoor Inn.

We are centrally located to the many popular tourist attractions of Southwest Wisconsin

House on the Rock opens for the season in March.

We are a short drive from American Players Theatre, Governor Dodge State Park, Oakwood Fruit Farm, Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor’s Center, The Springs Golf Resort, Natural Bridge State Park, Our Lady of the Fields Chapel, Taliesin, Plain Westbrook Hills Golf Course, White Mound Park, Rockbridge, Hillside School, Tower Hill State Park, Hyde Mill, Unity Chapel, House on the Rock, Cedar Grove Cheese Co, Wisconsin Dells, and many other interesting tourist attractions.

In order to provide peace and serenity for our wildlife, we are a DRONE FREE zone, and have quiet time after 11:00 pm.

We have Light Speed Fiber Internet, and HD Television Live Streaming & Cloud DVR.

Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am, unless different times are prearranged.

Nice Relaxing 2 Nights
Took my son to House on the Rock as part of his spring break. We stayed in the Pine Unit the night before and night after. Very nice, clean and relaxing. We met Bill and 1 of his cute dogs. They were both very nice. We will be back for sure. Planning to go back in better weather to do some trout fishing. Highly reccomend for a nice relaxing getaway.

Fall Art Tour Resting Spot
Girls weekend hitting up all the shops between Mineral Point and Baraboo. The Outdoor Inn was in a fairly central location 20 min from Spring Green. The property was exactly as described. Overall the cabin was clean. Kitchen and bathroom was adequately supplied. We were dissapointed that it was too cool and damp at night to have a bonfire. A morning walk around the property was enjoyable due to the cut paths. We were able to find the river on the property. Fall colors were amazing. Overall this was a perfect place for our weekend getaway.

Beautiful area, didn't see a bear though, but saw Sandhill Cranes!
The Bear Valley Outdoor Inn was in a beautiful valley with the fall colors turning. It was like our own private oasis. We had some rain but was still able to enjoy our campfires each night! I found the website a bit confusing in terms of knowing what exactly was available on the property for renting/# of rooms, etc. The only thing I'd change is I would have liked the fire ring further away from the buildings so we could enjoy the views more. Thanks for the hospitality. We'd visit again!

We really enjoyed the time we had at Bear Valley Outdoor Inn! It was clean, cool, and remote. We loved the property, and visiting with the dogs and chickens. They were very friendly!

Great Country Getaway
The Pine Unit was very thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bill is a great host and his 2 little dogs are adorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful country and very comfortable accommodations.
