Welcome to Southern Illinois where the region is full of beauty and fun! Visit the beautiful campus of Southern Illinois University or any of the number of wineries located along the Shawnee Wine Trail. Take in fishing, boating, hiking, or any ecology or biology of any one of our are lakes such as Rend Lake, Kincaid Lake, Little Grassy, or Pyramid State Park. Other rec areas are DuQuoin Fairgrounds (just 1/2 mile from property), World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, Giant City State Park, and so much more!

This newly updated home boasts comfort and relaxation with all essentials for your “home away from home”. Large circle with space for boats & trailers, offers spacious parking & RV electric hook up with water accessible. Hikers, hunters, & fisherman welcome!

The space:
This 3 bedroom (1 king, 2 full) home has been newly updated and offers a clean, comfy, and cozy open atmosphere for anyone to enjoy and relax. All rooms are spacious with an open concept.

Get a great nights sleeps in the comfort of any of the three bedroom choices offered with all having soft, 800TC Egyptian cotton sheets. (Flannels available upon request). Bedroom(s) offer LED alarm with built-in phone charging.

BEDROOMS: Center bedroom (full bed) offers 40” flat screen smart TV (with remote), ceiling fan, and blackout shade (with curtains) for a better night’s rest. This room also has a double closet with lights and offers USB charging with smart phone alarm clock.
West bedroom (king bed) offers ceiling fan to aid in reduction of any potential road noise from US Route 51, pillow top mattress for comfortable sleep, and faux wooden blinds and blackout curtains for a better night’s sleep. This space also includes a double closet with lights and smart phone charging alarm clock as well as a 40” flat screen smart TV.
East bedroom (full bed) offers a full closet with lights, spacious layout, and faux wooden blinds and blackout curtains for a better night’s sleep. This room also has a ceiling fan and 40” flat screen smart TV with remote.
**All TV’s are Wi-Fi connected so bring your Firestick or best streaming device and log into our provided Wi-Fi to no miss your favorite streamed series!

The living room is very spacious with comfortable seating to watch your favorite streamed movie on the 55” flat screen TV. Throw blankets available for added comfort. This area is equipped with ceiling fans, leather recliner, plush couch, and soft comfortable side chair and tables. TV is Wi-Fi ready and equipped with a Firestick.

The kitchen has every accessory needed for a home cooked meal or slicing that ordered out pizza. There’s plenty of pantry and cabinet storage in the newly updated kitchen for a pleasant short or extended stay. Additionally, there is a USB outlet for phone charging. Coffee and tea area sitting area in kitchen.

The quaint bathroom has a walk-in shower and all the soft, plush cotton linens needed to feel fresh. Shower offers a seat (please do not stand on seat) and adequate shelving for shower toiletries.

Downstairs is a large open basement with a regulation size ping pong table and stair stepper for exercise. Table comes with 4 paddles and ping pong balls. Stair stepper is battery operated and has adjustable settings. Both ping pong table and stair stepper should be used with caution and is for adults only. (**please do not place object of any type, sit, or stand on ping pong table otherwise damage fee will be assessed at the cost of replacing the table.)

Laundry in basement is very accommodating having two washers and two electric dryers to easily and quickly complete your laundry needs. Detergent is provided and is to be used by instruction only. Spacious newly installed stainless steel utility sink equipped with extendable faucet is also available for soaking garments, etc, or even as an added area for freshening up.

NO SMOKING IN DWELLING OR ON PREMISES! SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON PROPERTY.

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR ANIMALS PLEASE NOTE: There are multiple stairs off the kitchen and down to the basement. Stairs to the kitchen have a hand rail; stairs to basement are narrow and do not have a hand rail. We are working to access a “baby gate” for anyone in need.

NOTE: The dwelling has steps and is not ADA compliant. Owner is not responsible for injury on or inside premise. ALSO, although 30 amp electric RV hookup is available, this home is not EVO equipped and cannot accommodate electric vehicles. No EVO cables or hookups permitted for use on premises or in dwelling.

Guest access:
All parts of the interior of the dwelling is accessible by guests with exception to storage room in basement noted by locked closed wooden door. Outbuildings on premise are not accessible by guests. Neighboring property is not accessible by guests, children, or visitors of guests.

Other things to note:
Owners are neighbors and are licensed real estate brokers (practicing, non-practicing, and do not represent guests/occupants). We want you to enjoy your stay at Jenny’s Country Sunshine. We have worked really hard to make the accommodations nice, clean, and relaxing. Please be respectful of the neighbors around the property. Parties, bonfires, and littering are strictly prohibited. Adhere to the quiet times noted (10pm-6am). Property has limited exterior video surveillance for your protection as well as ours.

Dwelling is located off of US Route 51, just south of the City of DuQuoin. As such, there is some road noise. If you are a light sleeper, please be prepared and plan accordingly.
Additional fees may apply for removed items or damage to furnishings.
If you are traveling with a camper or boat or if you have additional guests, a 30 amp RV hookup is available for an additional fee of $50.00/night. Water is available by hose hook up only. There is not a dumping facility for sanitary or unsanitary water on premises. Guests will need to find other accommodations for this.

HUNTERS and/or FISHERMAN - - - please know if you are booking for hunting in southern Illinois, you will NOT be able to discard animal or fish remnants on site or on neighboring property.

SHOOTERS OF THE AIM AND/OR GRAND AMERICAN (OR OTHERWISE) - - - please know target practice and/or clay throwing is prohibited on premises as neighboring properties are too close for any type of shooting.
