This was a great house! Perfect location to (Easton’s) First Beach. Well appointed and comfortable. Our dogs had a great time too. A very nice house all around will definitely go back.

Beautiful spacious home close to the beach

This was a wonderful spacious home for our group of five. It's well appointed with everything you need. Just minutes from the beach and a fantastic base for making the most of the sights of Newport. Very nice place close to the beach. 3 nice bedrooms, however one mattress in one of them wasn’t very comfortable (smaller room with seaview).Many amenities to enjoy, however it would have been nice to have wine glasses, salad spinner and placemats. All the rest was perfect, we enjoyed it very much! Thanks a lot

Great weekend trip with friends!

The house was in the perfect neighborhood close to many things and very walkable. It was great for a group of us attending a wedding nearby!

Lovely weekend in Newport

Our group really enjoyed staying at the house. The host was very responsive, the home was clean, and there was a lot of space. The backyard was a nice space to relax as we had some great weather for the end of September. I would highly recommend this home!

Crest is best

Close enough but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport, this location offers great beach access and is close to the trails of Sachuset Point. Local amenities accessible by foot. Would definitely stay here again! Kitchen well stocked with necessary dishware which we always appreciate. Nice yard too!

Great home in a great location

Lovely well-kept home! Plenty of room for a family of four and our dogs. A short walk to beach/water views. A longer walk or short drive to the next beach which allows dogs at certain times. Host was great, very communicative. We so look forward to our return trip next year!

Newport Vacation

We had wonderful spring break trip to Newport! Thanks to Kelly and Ben for sharing their lovely house! The house was clean and comfortable. My 12 y/o loved having her own space in the downstairs room. The beach was so close and we spent hours in the rocky area looking for crabs and seaglass. An easy drive into downtown area as well. Don't forget to try Clementine's ice cream... we visited many times during our trip!

Ladies in Newport

Everyone other year the ladies in my family travel to a different city. This year we chose Newport. I found this property and I'm really glad I did. The house is small but has plenty of room. You can see the water from the kitchen window and it's a very short walk to the beach. It was the perfect location, close to many things we did. The owner was wonderful, very responsive to all my questions. We'd definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place!

My daughter was getting married in Newport but the family was all from out of town. This cottage was the perfect answer to our problems. Not only was it clean and functional-everything we needed-but the sunroom in the front of the house was the perfect spot to take pre-wedding photos. Trisha was so helpful-especially when I texted her in a panic late Saturday night when we locked ourselves out! I especially loved the downstairs suite-it was beautiful and gave my husband and I a little privacy amongst the chaos. We hope to return when we can just relax and hit the beach!

The home was just as it appeared in the photos. Simple but cozy. The house was stocked with just about everything a person would need to use. The one thing we lacked was a working hair dryer. There was a hair dryer, but it did not work.

It was a wonderful location and had everything we needed for a girl's getaway. Very nice to be able to walk to the beaches, friendly neighbors, plenty of space. Newport is so lovely!I must warn you, though, that the Clue puzzle is missing a piece.

Hard to Leave Newport

A successful getaway to Newport at Christmas! Morning walks to the nearby beach and convenient couple minute drive to everything else. Home was great in all ways! Wonderful host!

Perfect location!

This is the perfect location to explore Newport. The property is settled in a seaside neighborhood and just a short drive away from downtown Newport and beautiful beaches. The kitchen, living room, and backyard are all perfect for spending time with loved ones! We loved our stay here!

I bought this house and met my husband at the Newport Blues Cafe on Thames St. within 3 months of moving in. We were engaged there and had our wedding reception right down the street at Easton's Beach. We love this house and the entire island. We were very sorry to leave, but wanted to get closer to family with a baby on the way!

Why they chose this property

This is such an amazing location. Steps to First Beach, where there is beach volleyball, a carousel, and the Atlantic Beach Club restaurant complete with an outdoor bar on the beach with live music. Right across the street from the beach is Flo's Clam Shack and a couple great sports bars, and a few yards up the road is the Atlantic Grille, which is our favorite breakfast place around. All of this is a five minute walk from the house. And 2nd Beach (Sachuest Beach) is a mile walk away, which is our favorite beach for relaxing, sunbathing, and swimming (the picture of us from the wedding is on 2nd Beach).
It's also about a mile walk to Cliff Walk, which is an amazing walking/biking trail with the ocean on one side and the beautiful Newport Mansions on the other. Mansion Tours on Bellevue Ave. are a fun and memorable activity. Also on Bellevue is the International Tennis Hall of Fame, where you can dine overlooking the grounds, tour the museum, or even book a court yourself, or attend a professional match if the timing is right.
Thames St. is only a 5 minute drive and it is chalk full of restaurants, bars, live music, theater, shops, festivals, concerts, comedy shows, sail boat rides, outdoor ice skating during the winter, fireworks on the 4th, arcade and ice cream.
Ocean view drive on the other side of the island is another one of our favorites for breathtaking ocean views and Brenton State Park, which is a gorgeous pet friendly park, great for picnicking, kite flying, or just relaxing.
10 minute drive inland, there are Polo matches every Saturday evening during the warmer months, as well as Newport Winery tours and tastings.
