The property is in a good location and we enjoyed the area. Connie was very responsive on any questions or issues we encountered. Overall the property is a nice selection.
Besides the AC not working well for a few days and a slight insect issue, it was fine. It definitely is a little frustrating that the owners didn’t even offer a partial refund for not having a properly working AC for 4 of the 7 nights during the week of 4th of July which was extremely hot. Overall, we had a great time and would go back.
Loved the home, all the amenities and supplies. It was exactly what we were looking for and had everything we needed. The owner was always available and we hope to return in the future. Thank you for sharing
We had such a good time, the renter was very accommodating. I will be looking at the same property next year!

Winter in Homosassa
We found the area to be great, nearby several local bars/restaurants, and just 10 minutes to all the box stores and groceries on Suncoast Parkway.
The space in the rental is great: 2 nice sized bedrooms, 2 baths, living room and good kitchen. All of the kitchen and laundry items/supplies were great. The house was somewhat dated in decor but since it's a rental, it works. Bathrooms could have been cleaner on arrival.
Disappointed in a few things: the screened in porch really wasn't liveable space, as the windows were covered up so eating or sitting in a "Florida room" wasn't an option. The grill was not worth cleaning up, so we didn't use it. The storage shed had two bikes that were not usable and a jet ski made getting in/out of that side of the house a little tight to maneuver.
Friendly neighbors, convenient location, nearby yoga at the community center (1 mile away), and on the water.....all pluses. The owner was also accessible by text or phone; that was a plus, too.
I am a tetired woman that purchased this home 13 years ago so that I can eventually retire here! I love the serenity and there is plenty to do here. We have many restaurants and we also have 'Monkey Island. This is a very small island across from Mcraes Restaurant. Our famous primate family lives there! Homosassa has live bands on the weekends and plenty of friendly nice people. Fishing enthusiasts will love it here! The natural beauty of Homosassa is breathtaking. Come and see why I love it here!
Why they chose this property
Homosassa is a beautiful place! It is called Nature's Coast. There are so many different kinds of birds and wildlife you can spend all day just taking pictures of them! You will love watching the manatee and the dolphin! It is also a fisherman's paradise.. So many different kinds of fish including redfish, snapper, mullet, trout.. just to name a few. In the summer you can catch blue crab right off of the dock. July 1-September 24 is our scalloping season. It is so much fun! Get your snorkel, fins and mask ready!
What makes this property unique
We are on the river so that you can canoe or kayak or if you want to go out into the gulf it is just 20 minutes away!
