Everything was clean and neat as usual. Kim, the host, is most accomodating, friendly, complete pleasure to converse with. The sauna is an exceptional way to end a long day on the trout streams. Chickens provide wonderful eggs. Location on a quiet street, private backyard offers a very comfortable feel. A great jumping off point for daily adventures. No better, friendlier place to stay in the region.

Kim was a great host. All the little xtras she provided made the stay even better. Especially the eggs!
We stayed in the upper peninsula for five nights in this very well equipped cottage. It was unbeatable for the price and served nicely as a base of exploration. It’s about a 12 mile driving into Houghton and we were a little surprised at the remoteness of the property. But if you are looking for a scenic, peaceful experience, this is it.
We felt right at home in Kim's cottage. Especially our pupper!
Everything was clean and well organized. It served as a great base for us to explore the Keweenaw peninsula.
The property is well kept. My issue would be with the electrical situation. Extension cords with multiple outlets are every where. I would be concerned about an electrical fire. Too many things running on extension cords plugged into a single outlet.
The property owner was responsive and very courteous. I thought the space worked really well for me because I had a space for my biking equipment out of the rain. I used the gas grill and it worked great. Good stay and nice location not from Houghton MI.
This cabin was perfect for my family. It had a fenced in backyard which was great for our dogs. The wood burning sauna was amazing. We were close to Houghton and a lot of the attractions we wanted to go see. Kim was great with communication, we would definitely stay again. I loved all the little touches like bottled water, shampoo, laundry and dish soap etc. We had a great time and it was a quiet neighborhood.
This cozy house was a good place for us to stay while we moved our son in at MTU. It was very clean and we enjoyed seeing the chickens and the stars at night.
One caution- If you are sensitive to dog odors this may not be the place for you.
Kim was a great host. Accommodations were more than we expected and we were delighted. The fresh eggs were just a wonderful addition! The location was great for our hiking and waterfall excursions. We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Overall this is a wonderful place to stay, cozy, clean AND THE MOST DOG FRIENDLY. The location was a bit more remote than expected and as husband is a big/tall guy, the bathroom configuration was too tight for his comfort. The host is absolutely fantastic to work with and aimed for our yotal satisfaction with our stay!
We had such an amazing time at Kim’s cabin! The location was perfect—close enough to explore sites on the Keeweenaw Peninsula, and Kim shared some great locations to see, which made our trip even more memorable. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to bring our two dogs—our big 80-pound pup and our little beagle. They absolutely loved the fenced-in area to play, and Kim even went out of her way to bring over treats and a ball for them. That thoughtful touch meant so much. The cabin itself was stocked with everything we could need—coffee, ice, water, condiments, and more—which made us feel right at home. There was even a washer and dryer available, which we didn’t need, but it was nice to know it was there.Kim was such a gracious and helpful host, checking in and making sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend staying here anytime—you won’t be disappointed!
This home has anything you may need for your stay. Host is great and friendly. Nice place and very relaxing. Fresh eggs too! We love it here. Great home base for our travels and adventures! thank you!
This is our second trip staying at Kim’s cabin. She always has everything you need and a very clean house. We brought a couple of grandkids and our three dogs this time and it’s so nice having a fenced in yard so the dogs can run around in as soon as I figured out how to use the doggie door. It’s in a very nice and quiet neighborhood and farm fresh eggs are always a message away. Thank you again for your quick responses to all of my messages and thank you for being a great host. We’re looking forward to our next day, if it’s available.Kevin and Alice
