Hidden away among the evergreens like a storybook cabin in the woods, this A-frame brings warmth, charm, and incredible atmosphere to any Mt. Hood getaway. Enjoy lush forest views from every window and fantastic access to outdoor activities on the mountain all year round.
This two-story cabin sits about two miles north of Highway 26 off Lolo Pass Road, a location that gives you wonderful access to nearby hiking trails such as Ramona Falls (five miles). It's a great home base for mountain biking, golfing the Three Nines, and world-class skiing, with Mt. Hood Skibowl (13 miles), Timberline Lodge (19 miles), and Mt. Hood Meadows (24 miles) all nearby.
The cabin's outdoor spaces are a delight in the summer months. Sip your morning coffee on the small front porch or the upstairs balcony, and barbecue your lunch on the gas grill as the kids take turns on the swing. The winter is every bit as magical, whether you're reading by the wood-burning fireplace and gas stove, playing cards at the dining room table, or watching DVDs as the snow gently falls outside.
In the evenings, please note that the loft-style sleeping space is upstairs, accessed by a very steep, ladder-style staircase. It should be used like a ladder - facing the steps when going up or down.
