A super quiet, super private, and super hidden place to get away from the world and relax. Amazing Red Rock Views and major trailhead 50 yards away from the property. Though we invite anyone to come enjoy our accommodations, this is the perfect spot for those who love to hike or mountain bike. Once you check in start with a stocked kitchenette, charcuterie board and a glass of wine. Have a seat on your private deck and enjoy the view of Sugarloaf Summit peaking from behind the greenery of the neighborhood. There are select treats, soft drinks, and bottled water for your adventures. You may prepare a meal using either the kitchenette or the grill which has a griddle insert. We also provide basic ingredients to get you started. We have a list of our favorite dining destinations in the area and can direct you to the best winery’s and tasting rooms in Arizonas wine country. We start you off with select complementary bottles of wine and champagne.
From here you are a 2 minute drive down the hill to SR 89A, Sedona’s main drag with abundant shopping possibilities and dining experiences. Native to Northern Arizona, we are a phone call away with all the inside info on things to do in the area and what to avoid. We provide an information book with everything you need to know for your stay in Sedona. What we do not provide is a television (We hope you wouldn’t come here to watch the Telly) there is so very much to do and see here! Don’t waste a minute! Sedona is a magical place, and we aim to provide an equally magical lodging experience.
Sandra will be your primary host. She speaks English, Spanish and German and is a fantastic cook. Sandra will make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. You will also have contact information for your secondary host, Rick (who also speaks German) in the event you are in need of information or assistance.
Also, this is a wonderful neighborhood in which to take an evening or morning stroll and soak in all the natural beauty. The off-shoot trailhead just North of the property connects to Sugarloaf Trail and will branch to other popular trails in the area. This is just a fraction of the local splendor. And honestly, Sedona is only a taste of what this vast wonderland has to offer. One visit simply wont cut it.

Wonderful place for a hiking trip to Sedona! It was clean, accurately described and well appointed. The thoughtful details went well above expectations!! I would definitely stay there again if available when I return!
Hiker’s Hideout was amazing. It was quiet, peaceful, well stocked with treats and goodies, AND very near to the trailheads for easy access. Also close to grocery stores, restaurants, Airport Mesa and west Sedona activities.
Incredible stay at this gem. Host is amazing and the unit was fully stocked with everything you could want. Quiet and clean and right next to the trailhead to head anywhere you choose. Would definitely stay again!
Such a perfect cute place for my stay in Sedona. I enjoyed the outdoor deck. Lots of snacks and drinks were in fridge and kitchenette! I requested no fragrances in room or on bedding due to sensitivity and Sandra was very accommodating!
What a wonderful place to stay at in Sedona, centrally located, peaceful, quiet neighborhood with views of coffee pot rock, hiking trails nearby. There were plenty of refreshments and snacks provided along with an icemaker. I highly recommend you stay here if you get the chance.
Hikers Hideout was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was small but private and had everything we needed and more for a three day hiking adventure. The little kitchen was packed full of snacks for refueling and lite lunches. And the wine and drinks hit the spot at the end of the day. Our host answered a simple question quickly and helped us tremendously. Great place in West Sedona—close to trails, food, and grocery store. We will book here again.
This little hideout was amazing! We were a little taken aback when we realized we were in the back of a private residence. This was definitely NOT an issue! Our host had a well stocked fridge and snack bar. The room was adorable and very comfortable.
The place was exactly like the photos, beautiful and relaxing. The groceries were appreciated- we did not have to go to the store which made the weekend more enjoyable! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
Our host Sandra was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we asked. Our room was clean and well stocked with an abundance of snacks and beverages. It was conveniently located to a nearby hiking trail that offered views of the scenic red rock formations in the area.
This is a small space cleverly and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal, shower, and sleep. We were pleased to have cold drinks, lovely eggs, and many other food items provided compliments of Sandra. There's a grocery store that is a short drive or 10 minute walk from this property. I found a souvenir tee at the Goodwill! The neighborhood is quiet and my husband stayed awake each night to watch the Javelina pass through. We only had 2 days in Sedona. We hiked and ate at the Mesa Grill the first day and rode the Verde Canyon Railroad on the second day. I would recommend this property to travelers that need a base to eat, sleep, and shower. There's an outdoor deck to sit on, but not much room inside. It worked well for our short time in Sedona.
Great 5 night stay! This property is everything we expected. So convenient to everything, restaurants, shopping and trails. Extremely clean and extremely PRIVATE. It’s small but very cozy. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple in Love. A lot of thought went into providing a spot for seclusion and privacy and comfort. The rear entrance is set apart by a quaint covered porch with privacy gate, nice table and chairs with a grill (I did steaks one night). Trees frame the porch for complete privacy. The Kitchenette is small but very workable. The place is tastefully decorated in “Sedona colors” and as stated, VERY clean. There are very nice hiking trails within 100 yards of the property. One of the things I took for granted but you see over and over in the reviews…. The snacks and drinks. The host is extremely generous with snacks that are on the go. And a very nice selection of beverages for the “after the hiking” time. Evenings were wonderful on the back porch with charcuterie and wine. The host is responsive to any communication but fully respects and provides great privacy. One of the more enjoyable VRBO experiences! Recommend!!!

John,
Thank you so very much for that amazing review! I am so pleased to hear that you were comfortable and felt at peace in our quiet corner. This was the most descriptive and thoughtful review we have had so far. We hope to host your stay again in the future. Take care!
We had an awesome stay here! Everything was as advertised. The room was very clean and we really appreciated how it was fully stocked with food and drinks (really high quality snacks and drinks!), kitchenette tools and appliances, and toiletries, towels, etc. It was very comfortable and felt very safe. The location is also perfect for walking to hiking trails and access to shops and restaurants. If we return to Sedona we definitely will be looking to stay here again!
Great place for us as a home base for sight seeing. Much thought put into snacks and basic by needs by host saved us from having to run out. Trails are just a few houses up. Very happy we chose this to stay in.
