Thank you for your review! We are so happy you found our cabin and the area relaxing and enjoyable. We do hope you have an opportunity to return, perhaps in one of our other cabins.
Good times had for a few days before thanksgiving. Make sure to not copy our mistake and make sure you message with how many dogs are coming and not just click pets on vrbo. Great place to stay, and lots kf activities closeby

Thomas, thank you for your five star review! Much appreciated. As for dog fees, we state our dog fees in our cabin description section as well as in the policy section. It states the fee is “per dog with a maximum of two”; and we also reconfirm our fees in our confirmation email. Hope that helps with your future stays through vrbo.
This property was perfect in appearance, location, and the overall experience. Both the owners and property manager were easy to reach and friendly. Check in and out was a breeze. The cabin is very well furnished with everything we needed for a perfect weekend.

We enjoyed our stay and the town. A very cozy, clean and well kept cabin. The bird feeder and hummingbirds were very entertaining. The views from the cozy back porch were beautiful.
Spent 7 nights in October 2024. Cabin was very roomy and had everything we needed. Enjoyed looking at the mountains and watching the birds from the swing on the back porch.

We missed your review online. Sorry about that. We do appreciate your kind review and do hope you will return in 2026! All our best.
The property was very nice, we enjoyed our stay wish we could have stayed longer. It was quiet and the owners were very nice and right there if you needed them. The location was also a plus because it wasn’t populated and to get to and from town was a short drive.
This is the second cabin we have stayed in owned by Laurel Mountain Cabins outside of Hiawassee Georgia. Pets are welcome. The cabin was very clean. Communication is excellent. Their cabins are very comfortable and very reasonable in priced. The photo gallery is exactly what you will find. Attaced is the view from the balcony.

Ellen, thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We appreciate that very much. Dennis said he enjoyed meeting the two of you. I am so glad you enjoyed your time here. All our best.
We had a wonderful stay. The owners and property manager went above and beyond. We were having issues connecting to the WiFi and both the property manager and owner came over to help. I have never had that. Just all out great people and really care about their guest. Will definitely stay again.

Will, thank you for your review and acknowledgement of our ability to immediately react to the occasional situation that can occur. Our on-site, family owned business model was built with customer satisfaction as our number one priority. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to hosting you again. Sincerely, Scott and Iris
The cabin was perfect. Hummingbirds, cardinals and other beautiful native birds enjoyed the feeders on the porch as we enjoyed watching them. The mountain views were peaceful and starting our day and ending our day on the porch was one of our favorite moments. The location also lends itself to easily visit surrounding towns, waterfalls and hiking paths. The cabin had everything we needed. We are looking forward to returning to this sweet spot.
My partner, dog, and myself had a fantastic stay at this cabin. The property manager Dennis was very communicative and kind, he gave me a call the morning of day 1 to let us know we could do an early check-in which really stuck out to me compared to other rentals / property managers I’ve interacted with.Location wise, you’ve got just about every outdoorsy activity you can ask for within a 30 minute radius; tons of hiking (two stops on the Appalachian Trail that can be driven to), mountain biking, ATV trails, and boating on Lake Chatuge. Extra bonus is that the nearest grocery store is only a 13 minute drive. The space itself is perfect for a small family, clean, well equipped, and the view from the deck cannot be beaten. GOOD WIFI so we were able to extend our stay into the work week and do Zoom meetings and such from the cabin. We will definitely be back.

Sorry for the delay. We really appreciate your kind review and do hope you find time to return. Thank you!
My husband and I stayed at the Azalea cabin for 3 nights . We brought with us our two little fur babies.
The host provided excellent directions to the cabin. Which made it so easy to get there. They had the cabin all ready fir us when we arrived. The A/C was already on cooling off the cabin and ice was being made in the freezer. I have to say that the shower in the 1st floor bathroom was excellent! The water pressure was great.
They took care of any questions we had very quickly. Such a great stay. Everyone is so friendly.
I highly recommend staying there. We are planning on returning to the cabins soon.

About the host
Hosted by Laurel Mountain Cabins
My husband, Scott, and I [Iris] are originally from Chicago. We moved to Georgia in 1990 and never looked back! We love the mountains and enjoy hiking, boating and bird watching, all of which are at our fingertips here in Hiawassee. Our mountain views and the quaint, rustic setting are what draw people in, and we agree!
Why they chose this property
Our favorite aspects of our property are peaceful mountain views and the abundant, friendly wildlife. After long careers, we settled in the mountains and decided to share this oasis with others, so we purchased Laurel Mountain Cabins in Hiawassee and have enjoyed meeting newcomers throughout the seasons that have come to trust our hospitality. Want to come experience our rustic tranquility for yourself? We'd be overjoyed to host you!
What makes this property unique
We stand out from others because we maintain the highest standards. Our cabins are thoroughly cleaned between guests and our google reviews are a testament to our cleanliness, beautiful mountain views, cabin amenities, secure & secluded property, and personalized hospitality.
We're only a 12 min drive from Hiawassee City Center as well as being centrally located to other popular mountain cities (20-30 minutes from Young Harris, Blairsville, Helen, Clayton, Hayesville, NC and Murphy, NC). 15-20 minutes to Bell Mountain, Brasstown Bald, many waterfalls and hiking trails, including the AT and the George Mountain Fairgrounds, where we have spectacular Fall Festivals and the famous Anderson Music Hall where top musicians come to entertain us! We are 10 minutes from Lake Chatuge and Hiawassee River. Many boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, and other recreational activities just a few miles away! Come see for yourself!
