Designed for entertaining and enjoying large family retreats, or just reconnecting with a group of friends. This is no 1960's cabin, it's an architectural beauty filled with new furniture, linens, and design elements that take advantage of the space and the phenomenal views of the lake.

Envision walking into a massive great room, with 27 foot-high ceilings and a soaring stone fireplace. This opens onto the dining room which seats 14, with 6 more seats at the island. The kitchen is hip, new and spacious. The entire space looks out onto the massive decks, where you can relax on luxurious outdoor furniture while gazing out over the lake. The whole floor is wired for your ipod, just plug it in and enjoy your music as you BBQ and chill out.

The game room is stocked with pool table, air hockey, flat screen with surround sound, PS4, games, DVDs and toys. Each of the 6 bedrooms (5 King size beds!) and 5 bathrooms are exquisitely designed, with brand new beds and linens. Amazing views and tons of space everywhere. 5 flat screen's, so everyone has room. Hardwood floors run throughout the home, and balconies, decks and views are everywhere you look.

Absolute beauty!

There isn’t enough positive remarks I could make about this property. My rather large family stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The open concept allowed for everyone to feel like we could have large group conversations or others could enjoy their areas. Karaoke in the living room, board games at the dinner table, eating around the center island. The game room was an absolute dream for the kiddos, competing at the pool table. Video games on the big screen. Sleep arrangements; the amount of space, rooms, beds, bathrooms were absolutely perfect! The beds were very comfortable. Truly thankful to Jennifer for are the small details she put into her beautiful home. Many memories were made. THANK YOU!

Great location for a larger group...and 5 full baths!

Great view of the lake, kitchen well stocked with all you need, fireplace works great (be careful with the gas, high flow), amazing communal table for all, bright high ceilings in main area. Stayed at many places in Arrowhead, this one ranks at the top!

Friends Getaway

The property is spectacular and had all of the amenities that we needed for 4 couples to relax, catch up and have fun. The view of the lake is gorgeous and it's a quick drive to the village. The owner thought of providing everything we needed (dinnerware, serving dishes, etc) for our couples getaway weekend and it was perfect. Every room was lovely and all of the beds were comfortable. The owner had clear and prompt communication with us and we will definitely be returning.

Glacier Drive Chalet

You walk into a lovely n21/2 story great room with a beautiful view of Lake Arrowhead.. a well supplied kitchen with a counter that seats six, and a wood table that seated 15 on one night when we had friends come up to help us celebrate our 65th wedding anniversary. And wonderful Jennifer, the best manager, who did everything she could to make this a memorable trip for veryone. We loved everything about it. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for Group Getaway! Stylish and comfortable ~ Couldn't ask for more :)

If there was a six star option I would go with that. We had such an incredible time at the house this past weekend. The design of the whole property is fantastic with huge decks on two of the levels and even some private decks on level three. The property was designed with style and high quality furnishings. Comfortable beds & bedrooms have plenty of room. Great common areas for everyone to all hang out, and private areas for when people want their own space. I'm looking forward until the next time we can go back, I'm telling everyone how great it was! The owner is very responsive. This is the place.

Huge, Clean & Amazing views of the lake!

We had 4 families of 4 stay at this amazing home last weekend (February 2011). Even though there was no snow, we had a fabulous time. The view of the lake is phenomenal!!! We loved the deck with a huge table that can accomodate 6+, and the lounge chairs were so comfortable. Loved the one where 2 people can relax together. Brand new barbeque worked fabulously. The kitchen is completely ready for large parties, with service for 20+ with plenty of serving ware and cookware. Brand new appliances worked even better than mine at home. HUGE table accomodating about 16 people, and a bar counter area that has 6 chairs made it so easy for our large group to have meals together. Floor to ceiling windows were amazing! Loved the game room downstairs! Washer and dryer on premises.....love it! And the fact that there are 6 bedrooms, 4 of which have king size beds was truly awesome, plus queens in 2 other bedrooms and couches that fold out to queens. Everyone will have a place to sleep here. I highly recommend this home. We have been renting in the mountains for 15 years and have never been back to a house a second time. So many are disgusting rentals. This one we will definitely come back to!

Great Vacation Home

Our family stayed at this property on 01/06 - 01/09. This house is a big and spacious for our group of 15. One of the best parts about this house is the big dining table. All 15 of us enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner all on one table. Another great part is the set up between the kitchen, dining area and living room. There are no walls separating anything. You can be in the kitchen and will not miss anything going on the in the living room, everything is open. The house has floor to selling like windows makes for a great view of the lake without having to go outside. The house is iPod ready if you do not have an iPod with speaks connected in the main floor and patio. The game room is nice with a pool table and big screen TV with DIRECTV. All the bedrooms are nice, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are nice new and clean. The owners were great and fast, responding to any questions we had about the iPod station and other questions. Also following up to make sure everything was working fine. One thing missing is a TV in the living room, other then that everything about the house is a perfect 10. We all had a great weekend and everyone loved the house. Thank you

Great accomodations

This was the third time our family has had a winter vacation in the BigBear/LakeArrowhead area. We love to use VRBO/HomeAway. This is the best accommodations we have had yet, by far. (The previous homes were also excellent but this one was amazing) We were a group of 10 adults and 5 kids between the ages of 8 and 18 months. More than enough off street parking for 4 big cars. The main floor is spacious with vaulted ceilings and comfy seating area. We were all able to share meals at the dinning room table. Wonderful kitchen, I cooked all weekend. The view is spectacular. The downstairs worked like it was designed for us. One couple shared the Jack and Jill king/queen bedroom with their twins, the other couple with kids had the king room with their 3 littles in the bunk bed. Great play room for the kids, with a pool table and fireplace. The main floor master suite was perfect for our late night gals who were always the last to give up the ghost and head to bed. Up stairs could not have been better, both master suites for the other two couples. Its like it was designed for our group . We never ran out of hot water. The bathrooms were huge and spotless (my test) The kitchen was great to cook in (did I already say that?) 5 burner stove, double oven. I recommend bringing pot holders and a mixing bowl. Plenty of utensils and cook/bake ware. It was great having a nice big QUIET dishwasher. I can't praise Jen's home enough. We had one tiny issue, which Jen responded to immediately and was fixed quickly. Had the best time. I've wracked my brain to find something to criticize and the only thing that was no bueno was the some of the net pockets on the pool table were missing and the balls fell out, but since I don't play pool, I didn't really care. lol. oh yeah, and the ice maker didn't work, but its a big freezer and will accommodate lots of bagged ice. Close to the Lake, and to town, was easy to find. Would recommend to any and all. Just a great place all the way around.

Friends getaway

Great house with beautiful view. Well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of room for 6 couples to hang out together yet have space to retreat for quiet time alone if needed. Jennifer was nice and very helpful.

Amazing view home

Absolutely stunning views of the lake from this incredible property. The host (Jennifer) thought of every detail to make her guests feel completely at home. Every room was large with comfortable beds. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Kitchen was one of the most well stocked in any vrbo we have ever stayed in. Jennifer was extremely responsive throughout our entire stay. We will definitely be booking a stay here again for our next trip to Lake Arrowhead!

Lake Arrowhead Wedding Weekend!

We stayed in this beautiful home for our daughter’s wedding weekend! We had a busy weekend full of events in Lake Arrowhead but had a beautiful place to come back to each night! We had a great experience communicating to the owner, Jennifer. She is super nice and was available when we needed her. We are going to come back to this beautiful home when we can relax and enjoy all of the great amenities it has to offer. Best house on the mountain!!!

This is my second time renting this home, and I'm so glad I came back!! It was just as fabulous as it was the first time! Maybe even better, because of the beautiful blanket of snow on the landscape. Jennifer is a fantastic host- always such a pleasure to work with, she responds immediately to any questions and is really helpful. She really went the extra mile to make sure we were ok in all the snow. We chose this time to go up knowing that most of the mountains are completely snowed in- but Jennifer made sure we had access and kept in contact with us to make sure we knew tue exact conditions. Really special human. The house is extremely clean, new furniture and super comfy bedding and has everything you could ever need or want. We can't wait to come back for the third time, thank you again for giving my family this wonderful experience! Lots of love to you!!!

Very disappointed

First of all, I would like to start off by saying the cleaning crew did a very poor job with cleaning the house. The downstairs couches that turned into beds where fully covered in cereal crumbs. The laundry was filled with bedding and towels that were soaking wet. Also not to mention the refrigerator was completely dirty in the inside as well. Also we were stuck in the house during a blizzard and it was a very scary situation. The owner of the house was only able to send over a handyman and was not able to help us in any other way. We ended up having to spend an extra $1000 to get tractors to come clear up the access roads to her house. The owner had claimed that she bent over backwards to help us get out but she did the bare minimum considering there were people trapped in her house and her only advice was to check online. She kept saying I’m not responsible for the storm and I did the best I could to get you guys out but if it was left to her we would still be up there. I just really didn’t appreciate her attitude in this situation because we were in an emergency situation and instead of her being cooperative to ensure our safety she told us that if we stayed extra days we had to pay nominal fees which is what made me the most upset considering we were in a emergency situation where we couldn’t get out and if we stayed extra days it wasn’t our choice to. I was just very disappointed on the owners behaviour and her giving me attitude after all me and my family went through.

Fabulous Family Getaway

Property was even better than the photos indicated. Plenty of space, good size kitchen and out door grill. Having 5 bathrooms was important to the family and not often found in properties. It was a great view of the lake and a great view to wake up to.

Weekend family reunion in Lake Arrowhead

Beautiful property with lots of space. It turned out to be the perfect spot for our family reunion. The view was absolutely gorgeous and location was ideal so close to the lake, trails, village, and shopping. Everything was very clean and as expected from the pictures. We all loved the recreation room downstairs where we could play pool, air hockey, etc. Our host was very friendly and responsive to our needs. We would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future.

As a mom of 3 young children, I wanted to build a gathering place that would make spending time with a group of friends and family easy, relaxing and fun. The six bedrooms/5 bathrooms all have plenty of "private space", so guests don't feel like they are on top of each other. But the public areas all open out to one another, making cooking/talking/playing and basking in the sun a shared experience. The home is a mix of modern and cozy, form and function. With the lake as your backdrop, it is the perfect way to renew your connections with nature and with your loved ones. Our family hopes that you enjoy the home as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

It is so close to LA - takes less than 2 hours to drive it. And Lake Arrowhead is awesome year round, snow play in the winter and beach fun in the summer. Spring and Fall are beautiful and serene, so nice for relaxing, walking, having some down time. Just a 5 minute drive to the village.
