This is our second time staying at Don Cheri’s home. We love their hospitality and their home. Our dogs had so much fun in the backyard. Thank you Don and Cheri!
Very clean home with everything you might need. Safe and cute neighborhood. Convenient to 410 medical center. The owners are quick to respond to any questions or needs.
Don is a great host. The house is full of some wonderful antique artifacts. It was a great stay in a quiet neighborhood and we will definitely stay again!
We drove from Los Angeles, California to San Antonio for a quinceañera. We were looking for a nice quiet location and this is exactly what we got. The house was absolutely beautiful, stunning backyard. My mom enjoyed seeing deer. Everything beautiful and so clean. We had all the essentials. We simply fell in love with the house. If we have another large event in San Antonio, I would definitely be interested in renting this home again.
My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay in this home the week of Thanksgiving. The home had a very well-stocked kitchen, very large dog-friendly backyard, and great neighborhood for walking with deer sightings every night! The owner was so nice, personable, and easy to communicate with. The home was like a well curated museum of everything TX and western.
The house was great for our family and doggos. We loved the vintage, Texas/San Antonio photos and decor, and the dogs could not get enough of the large, fenced-in yard. We enjoyed the patio in the morning with our coffee, listening to the birds. Check-in was easy and communication was proactive and punctual. Would recommend and would stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay and were glad to be able to host the Christmas lunch with our son and my brother and his family. This house is so cozy and beautifully decorated and our dog simply loves the backyard. This is our third time to stay here and it never disappoints!
Everything was as described in the listing. Host was great!!
Neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. Backyard is huge and fencing was secure for our small dogs. We stayed for 2 wks and would not hesitate to stay again.
We had an amazing stay. We felt very at home in the property, and the owners checked in with us before our trip. It was the first time we traveled with our pets and it couldn't have been easier! We had everything we needed!
The house and property felt like our home away from home. Beautiful yard and a house filled with antiques and other Texas memorabilia. Nice, safe neighborhood. Easy communication with owner.
My husband and I came down for a business conference and we had our dogs. The place was beautiful reminded me of my family home. The yard was fenced in and large enough for our kids to run and play.

Great home away from home!
This house was just as described. It had all amenities, very clean, comfortable and a great backyard. It was close to good restaurants, grocery stores and downtown was easily accessible. We stayed 3 nights with no problems. The owners, Don and Cheri were very gracious and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying at this property!
Uniquely Southwest decorated, kept you looking and exploring throughout the home. The patio/backyard was just as pictured, very serene and great to hear the redbirds singing in the morning while enjoying a cup of coffee. Everything you needed was at your fingertips to make this a very enjoyable stay. The pups felt right at home which was very important to our stay. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Clean, roomy, and convenient!
We were in town for the weekend with another family. 4 Adults and 4 children. The house was super clean, and a great value for the area. The backyard was amazing, and plenty of room for the kids to have space to run and play outside. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, and lots of thoughtful extras to make our stay great!
Owners were the best: flexible, easy, quick to respond, kind. Quiet and safe neighborhood. House is well equipped, plenty of room, LOADS of great books, and wonderful Texas decor - clearly someone took great care and thought into the Texas theme. LOVE the HUGE backyard.
Didn't watch television, so we cannot comment on those options; just took advantage of their extensive book collection.
We will stay here whenever we return to San Antone.
This house is located in a very central location with most services nearby. The fenced in back yard was very nice. The tile work throughout the house was great. Really enjoyed the mosaic when you walked in. Unfortunately, the 60's decorum of the home could use some updating.

Great place to stay!
The home is centrally located, well maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. The back yard is amazing - well manicured with a grill and great shade. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy this feature a bit more.
The home's decor is charming and eclectic with plenty of books to read, games and a pack and play for my 10 month old daughter. We enjoyed meeting Don upon arrival and hearing stories of his ancestry. Very hospitable.
We visited the River Walk during Fiesta - it was an awesome experience. We dined at the Charter House and experienced wonderful views of the city along with a stunning sunset. We also visited Sea World and the Caverns at natural bridge. Lots to do in San Antonio. Will definitely be back!
We ended up staying in both of their adjacent houses and enjoyed them both. The houses are older, built in the 60s, but well maintained and nicely decorated. Both had really nice fenced in back yards. We brought our dogs, so that was great for them. Don and Cheri were very communicative and responsive. We had an incident where one of our dogs got sprayed by a skunk in the back yard of the first house we were staying in. It happened at night and the skunk ran after our dog, so we had to let her in to protect her. We immediately put her out into the garage, but the skunk odor permeated the house. Despite our best efforts to deoderize, mop the floors with bleach solutions, and air out the place, the odor remained. We called Don and Cheri and let them know. They let us move into their next door property, which was fortunately empty, and brought an ozone machine that did an incredible job of eliminating the skunk odor. But it took several days to work, and they let us remian in the other property for the remainder of our stay. The accommodation they provided was above and beyond, and they certainly deserve the title "superhost".
