We had a great time in this fabulous home! The location was perfect for our girls weekend in Nashville! Plenty of room with comfortable beds and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We sat out on the huge back porch in the mornings with coffee and the evenings with drinks. John was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed! Don’t hesitate to book this home…perfect!

The River House was perfect for a gathering of 10 old college friends who have known each other for 50 years. There was plenty of space for small conversations, and plenty of room for a Friday night dinner and visit by grandchildren, their parents and aunt. The kitchen had all that we needed to warm food prepared locally. Those who wanted to explore Lower Broad, visit the Hall of Fame, or the Opry Hotel Conservatory were able to do so with ease. On Saturday night, some took in the Grand Ole Opry, others enjoyed the Nashville Symphony, and some just stayed at the River House to relax and reminisce or watch the river go by. Check out was very easy and the proximity to the airport made it simple for those flying in from California. It was a great weekend, and the only regret was that 3 others were not able to make the trip and enjoy the River House too.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property!!!! Every one of us girls said we would come back and stay in a heartbeat. Very quiet neighborhood. We were able to see turkeys and lots of deer on the property! We even got to see a little baby deer.The property was adorable! It had an old timey feel with updated amenities. So much to see and SO MUCH SPACE! We had 7 girls who all slept comfortably. We also enjoyed lots of time on the back porch laughing, visiting and watching the sun set behind the trees.John (host) was easy to work with and was so kind! Super responsive, as I know I asked a million questions.Highly recommend!!!!

This is a great house for a large group. When we arrived I was a bit taken aback by how old the house seemed and was a bit disappointed. Then I met the owner and realized that he actually built the house in 2009 using all reclaimed materials. Gave me a true appreciation for the place It is located along a beautiful remote stretch of the Cumberland River, yet is only 5 minutes from Opryland and 15 minutes from downtown. The view from the back porch is amazing The only glitch we had was cold showers on day 1, but the owner came right over and made an adjustment and showed us how to work them which really helped. As advertised , there are only two full bathrooms, making showers a bit challenging for a large group. But we made it work. Great place and a great stay !!

This place was great. It had proximity to major attractions, relaxing outdoor spaces (fire pit, fishing off the dock, boat and birdwatching, reading on the porch), a hot tub room overlooking the river, and decor like staying in a dollhouse. The kitchen was well stocked, as were the bathroom basics like towels and toilet paper. The place was very clean and communication with the host was stellar. This was the most unique rental property I have stayed in, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

This is our second year to stay a few days in this beautiful home. We, 8 of us this year and 12 last year, just throughly enjoy the location on the river and the proximity to the Gaylord resort. It is so convenient to be able to go back and forth between the house and the venue.
