Amy's Schoolhouse
Located less than 4 miles to the Dreams Park and 5 minutes to Cooperstown. Excellent rental for Dreams Park, events at The Otesaga, and anyone looking to experience our charming small town. This 6 bedroom, 3 bath home sits on a 1 acre yard backed up by a lightly wooded area.

The original part of the house was a 1-room schoolhouse built in the 1800's. This home now features an open floor concept that marries vintage details with modern amenities. There are original hardwood floors (ground level),blackboards, light fixtures, a water fountain and a claw foot tub which all add to the character of this space. The downstairs has 15ft ceilings which make the space feel grand.

Upon entry, the open living/dining is immediately to your left. The livingroom features a large flat-screen, sectional sofa and queen pull-out couch. A farmhouse table seats 8-10, plus outdoor seating available.

Sleeping accommodations are arranged to accommodate a variety of groups. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms off the living/dining - 1 with a king and one with a double bed (size up from twin). A bathroom off the hallway has a shower and a clawfoot tub.

On the second floor, there are four bedrooms. One king bedroom with a small (single) futon and en-suite bath/shower. There are also 2 queen bedrooms, and a double (size up from twin) bedroom. There is a 2nd floor bath off the hallway with a shower. An outdoor shower is also available seasonally.

Please note that the two double rooms technically accommodate two people, but depending on your comfort level may be more suitable for a single adult.

For family fun and entertainment, there is a game room in a separate 840 square foot building, complete with lounge area, TV/DVD player, pool table, ping pong, Foosball, air hockey and basketball.

There is an extensive ground-level deck area with gas grill, picnic table and seating area. Also available seasonally and in compliance with local burn laws, is a solo stove and Adirondack seating. Please note the gameroom is not heated and in the winter outdoor furniture/firepit are placed in storage.

Maximum property occupancy is 13--we do not allow any parties or events to be held. Please note this is strictly enforced.

Fabulous family rental

This place is all that they said it would be. We only stayed 2 nights but wish we rented for a week. Everyone loved it. Kids and adults. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful home!

We and an amazing experience. Really enjoyed the overall aesthetic of the home and it was perfect for my group of friends. Darcey and Evan were fantastic hosts. Very prompt to warn us that they discovered a leak in the game room prior to my arrival and really went above and beyond in every regard. I would gladly stay here again!

Super stay

From the start the hosts were extremely attentive, helpful and fun. The inn is just like it is pictured, clean, well appointed, comfortable and cozy. All rooms were spot on. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. Had a great time in the big play room... easy fun. It is so close to downtown Cooperstown with great restaurants and the baseball Hall of Fame! Food stores are only a couple of minutes away - the location is great. Then there is my fav.... the outdoor shower > the water is so warm... so relaxing. Can't wait to visit again. You'll love it here! Thank you!!

Perfect Fall Getaway!

We stayed at Amy’s School House with our 3 children to visit Coopersotwn in the Fall—the area was beautiful this time of year and the house is just a few minutes from town! The home was just as described, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Beds were comfortable and each room had its own ROKU TV for you to sign in on your own streaming accounts. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including starter supplies of soap, shampoo/conditioner, paper products, ect. We were able to grill out on the large deck and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare all your meals at home. The biggest hit was the game room which offered a nice space for the kids to entertain themselves and for the adults to have some fun too! The house was so charming and unique- just what we were looking for! Darcey stayed in touch with details for check in/check out and was easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a family friendly home in Cooperstown!
