The host was extremely welcoming and was in touch early during our planning process. Prior to our arrival we had already identified places for food, groceries, transportations, excursions, etc. They were also very accommodating in regards to our early arrival and delayed departure so we could be comfortable. The apartment was a in a great location a couple of blocks from the beach. Very safe with private security at front door to let you in. Ample space for our family to be comfortable. The bedrooms being able to be reconfigured helped plan our trip with younger kids as well.

A Fantastic Penthouse in Rio

David place has the option of looking at the mountains or walking two blocks to the beach. This place's price makes it an incredible value and had no issues with coordination, communication, and safety. Wi-Fi is super fast, everything is immaculate, and the host was very helpful with everything.

This was an absolute lovely experience!

Our stay was full of life long memories. The location was perfect for us. Very close to shopping, dining, beach, groceries and the pharmacy. David helped organize transportation to and from events, excursions, covid testing. Adriano was very helpful and our language barrier was eased with Google translate😉 Helena, the housekeeper was magnificent. Please make sure to have her visit during your stay.

Amazing authentic Rio Di Janeiro experience

I visited Rio for the first time for a birthday celebration with four friends we decided to stay at David’s penthouse because of all of the great reviews we saw prior to booking. Absolutely everything was advertised, and David was an outstanding host, providing us with all of the information and contacts that made our trip absolutely amazing. I cannot think of a better location for anyone visiting Rio for the first time. I would highly recommend staying at the penthouse and David as a host.

A Brazilian treat

What an amazing property located just 2 blocks from Copacabana Beach. David was very communicative which is key when traversing so far. The property is clean and safe. Pictures dont do it justice. The staff was very warming and David provided contacts to drivers and guides which resulted in a great trip. Definitely recommend

What an amazing rental. 6 of us rented both suites and were so comfortable with having two fully stocked kitchens and bathrooms for all. You are right in the middle of cococabana beach action. Shopping, restaurants and beach all within 2 blocks. Host David is exceptional to help you with all your needs. Amazing stay for large groups

It was wonderful staying at the penthouse. We had rented out both penthouse 1 and 2 since we had a large group. Both sides had their own kitchen which was very handy when cooking or needed the extra space. Having our own bathroom was also a nice to have so we didn’t need to wait on each other while getting ready. Location of the penthouse was great as we had lots of restaurants to pick from, a couple of grocery stores near by and walking distance to the beach. The staff were very accommodating and communicated right away. Would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Rio!

3 families with plenty of space and privacy

David and his staff could not have been any more helpful. They were quick to offer help, to respond or help with anything we needed. They helped us navigate getting money, and went with to the grocery store. Of no fault of Davids, our ride from the airport was late due to an accident. To help with our slight delay, David had someone prepare a beautiful breakfast when we arrived and the house was stocked with juice, water and fruit.

You could not ask for a better host!

We could not have had a better experience! David was generous, communicative, helpful, and an absolute delight with every step of the rental process. He is a one man shop for everything that you could need: airport shuttles, groceries upon arrival, a private chef for a fantastic dinner on the terrace, a wonderful tour guide, restaurant recommendations, etc. He navigated multiple arrival times and dates for our different parties (and even travel plan changes) seamlessly. The penthouse has nice views and is super close to the beach. It has the charm of an historic building (crown molding, tricky doorknobs), and is comfortable, well appointed, and secure in a neighborhood that has great coffee, food, shopping. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful Penthouse, Great Value, Very Spacious, Great Location

We just departed today after a week enjoying the penthouse. We are a party of 7 adults, including two couples and 3 singles. We enjoyed all of the space: had dinner on the main terrace when weather was inviting, had dinner in the dining room when weather was blustery. We had appetizers and drinks nightly in the beautiful living room. The penthouse is finished w great detail--the plantings, the flowering shrubs, the tile trimming the terrace and the upper bedroom terrace. There was always some detail to discover and enjoy. The housekeeper was lovely, made a wonderful breakfast for us (at a reasonable charge) this morning. There are several groceries nearby. We had a chef prepare 6 of our 7 dinners (to which the owner can refer you) which we enjoyed greatly at "home" in the penthouse. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood and just 2 blocks from the beach.

This with their first visit to Rio and they explored all areas of the city with great enthusiasm and enjoyment. Unforgettable Trip

The Coral Penthouse was the perfect place to stay for a group of 12 friends visiting Rio for the first time during the New Year celebration. David was extremely helpful while planning the trip and answered every question we had. The staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. We want to thank Adriano for making everything go so smoothly. He helped us with our luggage, getting set up, booking excursions, communicating, and so much more! Adriano was happy to assist us with all of our needs. 7 Bedroom Paradise

I planned a first time trip to Brazil for 10 men from the US. Not only did we all have a very enjoyable time in Rio, but the communication with David before the trip was top notch. David was beyond helpful with anything and everything for this trip. I travel all around the world and David has been hands down the easiest and most enjoyable host. We rented out both the 3 and 4 bedroom penthouse and it is gorgeous! If you can afford to stay here, please do so! Pay the extra dollars to be in a great location and in a safe neighborhood! You will be surrounded by restaurants, markets, cambios, beach, taxis, buses, and everything else you may need. Place was kept very tidy by the maid who also offered laundry services for a minimal fee. My friends have already asked me when I can bring them to Rio to stay with David. I am 100% sure I will be back at this spectacular penthouse.

Amazing house! Even better host!

The Coral Penthouse was one of the best houses I ever stayed in. It is literally a work of art. I own a travel company called RightWay2Vaca. I have been all over the world and The Coral Penthouse along with David's hospitality was one of my best experiences. We had a group of 10 guys. He helped us with everything we asked for. Fabulous property in wonderful location

We rented both penthouses that make up this property for a week. It was wonderful. David was such a user friendly and polite host. There was lots to arrange before we arrived and he could not have been more helpful and responsive. His manager Adriano took excellent care of us while we were there. Everything was clean and in working order. I thoroughly recommend. It is beautifully decorated and the outside terrace areas are marvellous. Great views too.

A Perfect Vacation and a Fantastic Penthouse

We had a large group going to Rio after a wedding and wanted to be together instead of isolated Hotel rooms. The Coral Penthouse was the perfect solution as each family had their own side and we loved the outside deck to gather. David really looks out for you with managers, maids, and rides to events... even 14 people in one van to the top of Christo !!! The rooms are very comfortable and the decor is cool. Markets are within a block and the fruit juice stand across the street has a great selection of breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and fresh juices. Restaurant right down the street was a great traditional Brazilian steakhouse.... with great prices!!! Walking to beach is a plus and also having an open deck that wraps around the building was very relaxing. The newly weds slept in the upstairs bedroom in complete privacy with spectacular mountain views. David realmente olha para você com gerentes, empregadas e passeios para eventos ... mesmo 14 pessoas em uma van para o topo de Christo !!! Os quartos são muito confortáveis e a decoração é. Mercados estão a uma quadra e o suco de frutas ficam em frente tem uma grande variedade de café-da-manhã sanduíches, café e sucos frescos. Restaurante à direita da rua foi um ótimo tradicional brasileira steakhouse .... com ótimos preços !!! Love this place returning again and again!

We travel with a BJJ team to Brazil every two years. This is our 3rd time staying at this penthouse. It is a fantastic location with all the amenities you could ask for. David is a dream to work with! My husband is from Rio so we go there often and there is no place better to stay then here!

Perfect!

Everything about the Coral Penthouse is perfect - the location, the views, the staff and the house itself. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights with a group of friends to celebrate our wedding and couldn't have picked a better place. The house is located near great restaurants and bars, as well as a short walk to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Max (the property manager) and David (the owner) were so responsive and helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly while we were there. I highly recommend the Coral Penthouse to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay.

PERFECT SPACE

From booking the property until our departure both David and Max were extremely helpful and were always just a text or email away. Max arranged pick up and drop off for our large group to and from the airport, which was needed due to the large amounts of luggage we had. We had a group of 14 total and the space was perfect for our mixed group which consisted of both couples and singles. My college friends and I found the location perfect for getting around Rio - very easy to flag a cab or order an Uber. The complex also has 24hr door service so it was always staff available to open the main door. I highly recommend this location, especially with large groups. Thanks so much David & Max!!!

Once-in-a-Lifetime Vacation!

Our group stayed in the Coral Penthouse for Carnival 2016 and had an amazing time! The accommodations are top-notch and the views are amazing! The penthouses were the perfect fit for our group of 9. Plenty of room for everyone and additional spaces to relax, cook and soak up the sun and sights of Copacabana. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable and the location is ideal; convenient to the beach, the metro, groceries, shopping, and restaurants. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Property manager Max is a jewel in this crown! He's friendly, accommodating and made us feel welcome, as well as assisting us with tours and transportation, suggestions for activities and dining. Owner David was gracious, friendly and made setting up the rental easy and convenient. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Coral Penthouse to friends or associates traveling to Rio, as I know their stay would be as memorable as ours!

Incredible penthouse - spacious and safe

We couldn't have been more pleased with the Coral Penthouse. It was spacious, safe, well maintained, well equipped, clean and self-contained. We were a group in Brazil for an international wedding and staying in this accommodation was one of the key features and highlights for many of our guests. The staff were also very capable and friendly. All in all, a wonderful experience and I hope to be back.

Por segunda vez en Coral Pent house , lugar y atencion excelente , alrededores seguros a tres cuadras de la playa . Las fotos indican perfectamente la realidad . Totalmente recomentable para unas vacaciones placenteras en Rio de Janeiro . Gracias David y Max !!! , esperamos verlos nuevamente .

I bought this very special duplex penthouse 5 years ago. It's a bit of paradise just 2 blocks from the beach.

Why they chose this property

After renting for many years, I bought this penthouse in 2005. It was a beautiful, and historic property and in an ideal location. It is convenient to everything. 2 blocks to the beach, 1 to the subway. The neighborhood is completely safe and full of supermarkets, cafes, banks, etc.
