The Lily Pad- Your Home Away From Home

Welcome to the Lily Pad, where you're just a hop and a skip away from everything Nevada County has to offer. Come for the FESTIVALS, MOUNTAIN BIKING, and CHARMING HAMLETS. Stay for the HOT TUB, ZIPPY INTERNET, and, well, tree frogs. Man, those frogs are cute!

A true vacation HOME, the Lily Pad is where our small family spends much of our time. As such, this property is fully stocked with everything you'll want. No empty spice cupboards here!

The space
OUTDOORS:
Beautiful spacious yard with verdant lawn, yard games, gas fire pit, and plenty of parking spaces.

Wrap around porch with access to primary bedroom and living room with a hot tub and gas grill. Misters, Edison lights, and outdoor dining furniture in the summer months. The railing is a bit weathered, though. Hoping to replace it in the near future.

KITCHEN:
Super rad kitchen has all the necessities:
~Gas range and oven
~Dishwasher
~Tons of counter space
~Stocked spice cupboard
~Toaster
~Kitchen aide stand mixer
~Electric kettle
* No microwave or counter-top coffeemaker. Take the time to perfect your pour over, or use on of our fun stovetop percolators to make the perfect cup of Joe.
~Tap water is great to drink- no need for bottled water.

LIVING ROOM:
~Comfy sectional sofa, plenty of space for
~Zippy fiber optic wifi internet and 50" tv, Netflix, Etc- yes.
~Record player and Bluetooth Samsung sound bar.

~Coffee Table with more board games than you can play in a week

Guest access
Our family splits our time between Grass Valley and Tahoma, and the Lily Pad is our primary home. Since we're here so often, you'll notice the warmth the second you walk in. You'll notice a fully stocked kitchen and many more amenities that are often overlooked in a standard vacation rental. We're tapping into the original vacation home experience.

Since we do spend so much time here, you'll notice a couple of locked doors: the primary bedroom closet, our son's bedroom, a hutch in the living room, and the garage. Don't worry about what's behind the locked doors: most of it is just the dirty laundry we didn't get to before your arrival. lol.

You'll have full access to 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the laundry room and the kitchen/living area. Plenty of space for 2 couples. There is a queen sized air mattress that can be put in the living room for 2 more people.
Other things to note
Hi! We're the Niemans. :) A couple things for you to know before you rent our place:

~We have 2 outdoor cats who love snuggles and would love it if you fed them in the mornings, but we can arrange something else if you'd prefer. 2 of our family members are extremely allergic to cats, so they are absolutely NOT allowed inside.

~We also have 2 dogs who will always be with us. We thought hard about allowing other dogs into the home, but have decided to not allow guest dogs. We don't want anyone to worry about accidents, or any damage that dogs can accidentally cause. Please note: a $500 cleaning fee will be imposed for any dogs snuck into the house. Also, if you have a dog allergy, you will probably not be comfortable here.

~Though we'll most likely be in Tahoe while you're here, we do have family members and friends who live nearby and can be available to help you with any unforeseen issue.
