• Originally built as a barn in the 1800's, this adventure lodge has been fully restored, with the original barn beams and wooden interior remaining just as they were back in the frontier days. Lodge on the Lake sleeps 12 in beds and sits on 20 private acres with something to offer every sportsman or recreationist. Enjoy the private 10-acre spring-fed lake stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill. Private sandy beach with a gazebo and large dock(new summer 2025) to play on. Kayaks available for rent. If you want more adventure, the Lodge On The Lake is just 10 minutes from an amazing public ATV trail system that runs through 50,000 acres of Wayne National Forest. All this plus the majestic scenic attractions of Hocking Hills! If you want to be outdoors yet enjoy modern amenities, Lodge on the Lake is perfect for you.

This is our 2nd time staying on this property and it won’t be our last. We had such an amazing time swimming, playing pickle ball, and just relaxing by the fire in the evening. It is the perfect getaway from the city life.

Took a mini vacation with the kids and grandkids. Property was lovely. Lots of space for the kids to run wild. The water was perfect, the beach was great too. Took a trip to the state park. Was a really nice place to go for the day.

Lake was phenomenal-kids caught 20 bluegill and 8 bass-what a perfect lake! Hot tub had excellent view of the lake/woods-cant wait to return next year!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was everything we hoped for and more. The lodge-style feel and open floor plan made it the perfect place for our family to relax, reconnect, and truly enjoy time together.There was more than enough space for everyone — plenty of bathrooms, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and so many fun things to do right at the property. When we weren’t out hiking the beautiful parks, the kids were fishing in the lake, kayaking, and soaking in the hot tub. Honestly, one of the best parts was that nobody was glued to their phones… everyone was genuinely enjoying being together.If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, a place to unwind with family, and somewhere that feels both cozy and adventure-filled — this is it. We made so many memories here and will most definitely be back!

Fans are full of dust. Register in bathroom full of dust. Grills are totally dirty. Tge one caught fire due to being so dirty. Brunt hand trying to put out. Carpenter bees all over the deck plus in gazabo. When it rained you got wet on front porch due to gutters. Says 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. There is a small master with full bath that was extremely cold. Two other baths on first floor with another smaller bedroom that was hard to cool. A loft and on one end of the loft is a wall. Thats what they call the 4th bedroom. The playground is old and full of bees. There are rusty nails. You can smell the sulfur in the water. It is very quiet there but disappointed in the price we paid and what we got.

Private Getaway

Hocking Hills Lodge is a very private property off the beaten path. My family really enjoyed our stay there. I have two small grand daughters who enjoyed the beach area and playground. This is an ideal family getaway location.

The hot tub was perfect, nice and roomy and strong jets, the gazebo was Beautiful and many hours were spent out there. The kayaks wer super fun, big beautiful peaceful lake. The pickleball and basketball court were used for hours of good play in the sun! The cabin was very roomy and beautiful, the 3 bathrooms we're nice and. Clean also.

Fun Family Weekend!

What a Beautiful property and home. Everything you need including a ping pong table to entertain all ages even on a cold winter night! The hosts were very helpful and we will return when it is warm and we can enjoy the 10 acres and lake. Thank you!

Amazing Experience

The house was just as described and clean too! We had such a great time exploring the property and fishing in the pond. At night we had a campfire by the lake which was so relaxing! You will enjoy this rental for sure! Owner reached out via text right away to touch base and make sure we had what we needed and that we had a way to reach them if we needed anything else. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the cabin itself, the area was beautiful. We did have an issue with the side door not locking but someone came out the next morning to fix it. The hot tub definitely needed attention, there wasnt a chemical smell to it and there was stuff at the bottom when we arrived. When i went in on our second day there the screen was saying that it was over due by 260 days for a water change, on our third day the water had a very strong sour smell to it. They said they would look into it. Im not sure if who ever they have cleaning the place was responsible for putting the dishes away in the cupboards or if it was a previous renter but we pulled out numerous plates that were obviously dirty. Not little bits of dried on food but greasy, not even attempted to be cleaned dishes. The kids loved the lake and exploring the area, overall we had a good time.

Fun With Friends

Long weekend spent with friends watching our kids play and grow together. Great location to get disconnected. Plenty of activities to entertain children of all ages: fishing in the pond, swimming, smores at the campfire, watching the deer from the porch at sunrise and sunset, basketball, and pickleball.
