Come and enjoy a fun packed vacation visit to Maplecrest at Lake Jocassee right next to Devils Fork State Park in the mystic Cherokee Foothills of the South Carolina. Recognized by National Geographic Magazine as a waterfall paradise. Our well kept vacation rental is a true all seasons 4 bedroom 2 bath home that offers wonderful year-round accommodations for up to 8 guests. The house is located on a secluded 2 acre private property with woodland views / large front & screen porches / full kitchen / gas BBQ grill / outdoor deck dining / campfire ring and activity field / Free WIFI. We are exactly 1 mile from the Devils Fork State Park Boat Launch & Swimming Area and have a large parking area for both your boat trailer and other vehicles. Although we are not a lakefront property, our location is extremely peaceful and quiet away from the busy and noisy daily road traffic to Lake Jocassee at the Main Park Entrance ! Guests love that we offer easy (2 minute) back entrance access to the Lake boat ramps and is one of the most convenient locations to area restaurants , food stores, boat rentals and waterfall tour boats. Children always welcome and a well behaved pets are considered. From our nicely equipped kitchen to our comfy beds and tranquil woodland surroundings. Maplecrest is the perfect rental home for couples, families and friends.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
UNPLUG SMALL APPLIANCES / wash dishes / Stove / Oven / BBQ grill shall be left in a clean condition. Refrigerator emptied / cleaned. All trash bagged and placed in outside storage shed containers.
All litter and pet waste must be picked up from the outside areas and placed in trash cans secured in trash bags. Campfire ring emptied of cold ashes. Hose rolled up and water turned off at spigot,
Windows and doors closed and locked. Thermostat set to 78 degrees Summer / 60 degrees Winter. Leave the (2) house keys on fireplace mantle(1) key in lockbox, Security Alarm System to be armed AWAY.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Rental Agreement PDF automatically accepted at time of booking. Valid Government ID age 25 + Primary Renter onsite throughout rental NO HOUSE PARTIES
Check Out Procedure posted in residence must be followed to receive full Security Deposit refund. Check In 3pm Check Out 10 am.
Pets allowed with advance notice. Pet fees additional. No pets on furnishings. Unattended pets must be crated. Guests are liable for pets actions !

This is an ideal located property for Lake Jocasse. Very fully stocked kitchen with any pots/pans or dishes you would need. So nice to have washer and dryer and detergent and dryer sheets were provided. Really enjoyed the screened in porch.

Had a great stay with the pups close to the state park and surrounding hikes and ORV roads. House was clean and well supplied kitchen for cooking and basic cleaning supplies. Nice private and quiet setting.

The house was comfortable and clean. We came with friends and brought our wave runners to explore Lake Jocassee. It was very close to the boat ramp and parking was very easy in the driveway.

Very close to devils fork state park. Great if you have a boat and want to enjoy the lake! We had 5 adults and used 3/4 rooms. Pleanty of space for us. Really enjoyed the screened in porch. Happy we were able to bring our dogs!

The house was very comfortable and warm in the rainy cold weather. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. All but one bedroom had a television, although we did not really use them. Why they chose this property

Our mountain home offers close by easy access to Lake Jocassee, the most pristine fresh water mountain lake in the southeast. This unique wilderness lake is a protected watershed as part of the Jocassee Gorges Conservation Area. Visitors can swim and picnic at the lakeside state park recreation area nearby, launch or rent their own boat for daily lake adventures even take guided waterfall tours or fishing charters. There are dozens of area waterfall hiking trails just minutes away from our perfect location. This is truly natures paradise at your doorstep.

What makes this property unique

Our home Maplecrest at Lake Jocassee is a picture postcard home in a very secluded and private 2 acre woodlands setting. Previously owned by a stained glass artist, there are many original works on display throughout the home. Sleeping accommodations are 2 guests per each private bedroom. For guests safety, we have smoke detectors in each bedroom and a monitored dispatch security system as well as multiple (5) exterior door exits. WIFI is available throughout the home. There are 4 Satellite TV's / (2) are 43 inch 4k LED sets / so everyone can pick their favorite shows. We also have a BLU RAY player and DVD Library with Surround Sound in the Family Room. Our kitchen has all the accoutrements / pots / pans / dishware necessary for gourmet food preparation along with our gas BBQ grill on the sundeck overlooking our large activity field and rose bed lighted rock garden. Our dining room has a huge Farmers Gathering Table that will seat all 8 guests at one time. Our new contemporary Euro Style 2nd bathroom with stained glass privacy window in the shower is a dazzler. Because we are located just past the busy State Park Recreation Area and Visitors Center. Maplecrest offers both daytime serenity and quiet evenings on the large screen porch and deep ravines with roaming occasional deer and fireflies blinking in the twilight to complete your getaway woodlands experience.
