Thank you, Dr. Kristy! We’re so glad you found Roddy Wilderness clean and comfortable. That’s exactly the experience we hope every guest has when they stay with us.
We truly appreciate you choosing our little retreat and would love to welcome you back anytime you need a peaceful getaway in the woods.
We had a wonderful experience at the house. Great location for meeting up with family. The new deck was relaxing and beautiful. Our favorite part were the goats and chicken, they were a fun addition.
We had a wonderful stay and couldn't of asked for a better location! Unfortunately we didn't get to explore much of the grounds cause it rained the whole weekend but the goats were awesome! Amenities were good and the host was easy to communicate with... definitely hope to stay here again the next time we head to Dayton.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Our kids loved visiting the goats and chickens. We even had fresh eggs for breakfast. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked a couple of our meals, it was nice they had everything we needed. An added plus was, all rooms had a tv.
Traveling through to Florida with our 2 dogs with a day visit to dayton Tennessee to visit more family. Very comfortable...even our sickly little dog relaxed and was stress free. We loved seeing the goats & feeding them animal crackers and felt right at home. It is a neighborhood on a deadend road, so very quiet. We loved it and booked again next week for our drive back to michigan
This was a wonderful home to stay at! We loved the goats and chickens, we even collected some eggs from the chickens! The house was clean, the host was friendly and great at communicating with us. We would love to stay here every time we come to Dayton! We especially loved giving the goats animal crackers, theyre very friendly! Its also nice that the house is pet friendly, they even supplied a kennel for us to keep our dog in while we were away from the house!

Found myself needing a short term rental for 3 weeks due to new housing delay. From the time of reserving until leaving, Lisa was very responsive and helpful. Her home is a sweet gem. It was clean and well equipped. Plenty of space for me and my family. And loved the goats and chickens. Highly recommended to anyone looking in the Dayton area.
We are from Rhea County, where Roddy Wilderness is located. We enjoy being outdoors in our boat on the Tennessee River or with our animals.
