Enjoy S'more Vacation at our waterfront Lake Bomoseen 4 season house!
Welcome to our lake home: S’more Vacation. Our kids really enjoy S’mores around the campfire and do not want to leave the lake when we visit. We hope you enjoy your time on the lake as much as we do.
Please enjoy your stay and use of the following; paddleboat, 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, life jackets, direct lake frontage, dock for your boat or a rental from Woodard Marine, fire pit and firewood, complimentary S'more starter pack with disposable wood marshmallow sticks.
Enjoy your privacy on Johnson Spooner Rd which is located on the west side of the lake across the float bridge. This is a dead end road and quiet. Perfect for walking, bike riding, and exploring hiking trails around Loves Marsh. The north end of the lake is perfect for kayaking or paddleboards. It is often much calmer water than the south main body of the lake.
Our Lakehouse sleeps 9 comfortably with 4 bedrooms. 1 bedroom is on the first floor for ease of access. Enjoy the lake and mountain views off the deck while dinner cooks on the BBQ! Fishing direct from the dock. Internet included, browse the collection of DVD's, or bring your own streaming service. Central A/C and heat. Well water with UV light filtration to ensure it is safe to drink and cook with.
For fun in the summer flag down the ice cream boat which makes dock stops or schedule the Lake Bomoseen Tap room Tiki Boat to pick your group up from the dock.

Fantastic house! Super clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and living area. Exactly as listed except the location in the lake is even better than advertised. Can’t wait to return in summer.

The location of the house is magnificent. Every morning you can walk into the back yard and sit on the dock and watch the water slowly move. It was the perfect getaway with friends to celebrate a wedding. It was like being at the spa for the weekend with how relaxed we felt.

Thank you for the nice review Tracy, glad we were able to get the internet back on without much disruption. Would be glad to have you stay again. Best. - Eric
The perfect place for a Fall Get-Away! We spent 4 relaxing days visiting nearby family while still having a place to call "our own." There were plenty of places to relax inside and out - from the family and living rooms to the deck, dock, and level grassy lawn. We enjoyed them all! And the nearby hiking opportunities were wonderful - the Castleton Rail Trail, Taconic Ramble State Park, Half Moon State Park, and Bomoseen State Park. We would definitley come back again =)

We are so glad your family enjoyed staying at our house and the lake. Beautiful weather this time of the year and almost peak foliage! Great to hear about the hiking trails as well. Thank you for the nice review and look forward to having you come back. - Eric
This gem of a lake house (S’More Vacation) was the perfect location for our family vacation. The house is spacious and comfortable and has all the comforts of home. What makes this location extra special is the beautiful lawn that is perfect for games and fires, which leads to a dock overlooking Lake Bomoseen and the Green Mountains. The swimming area is very easily accessible and very clean (no milfoil); great for swimming, fishing, and water sports. This part of the lake was also perfect for kayaking, fishing, and other fun activities. We hope to return to this great location in the future! 5+ stars!

Thank you Amy for the compliments. So happy your family had a nice stay and great weather. We look forward to having you back! - Eric and family : )
I booked a long weekend at Lake Bomoseen as a birthday trip, and our stay at S’More Vacation was great!
Eric was super flexible and communicative, making check-in easy, and whenever we had a question we was always available.
The house was clean and the location perfect. I really liked that we were on the western side of the lake (as there is a highway on the eastern side), so the stay was super quiet on the lakefront area was huge.
It was only my wife and me on this trip, but the home has more than enough bedrooms for the entire family (plus a living room and a sun room), so we actually plan on booking again this summer to bring along the entire family. It will be a perfect spot for the kids!

Good afternoon Peter,
We are so glad that you and your wife enjoyed your time at our lake house. Thank you for the kind comments.
We look forward to having you back, especially with your kids and the whole family! Thank you. - Eric
We had a mixed age family group staying at S'more House for a family reunion and everyone had a blast! My husband and I live locally but did not have enough space to accommodate everyone and we could not have asked for a better place than S'more House to meet this need. It was easy to communicate with our host who responded quickly and the hand-drawn welcome note made us feel right at home. The house itself was delightful. It had ample space to easily sleep the 8 extras in our group and wonderful space to hang out and play games for old and young alike.
And the lake was gorgeous! The group made use of the dock, the kayaks and the paddle boat (even though the October weather was too chilly for swimming.).
Highlights of our family reunion at S'more House were playing charades in the game room, watching our teens gain confidence on the kayaks, and roasting marshmallows and watching the lights in the marshmallow fire. Nearby highlights were the Zen Gardens and Mt. Zion of the Taconic Ramble which I recommend to all. The Farmstand Cafe in Castleton served a delightful and delicious breakfast/brunch. We are so glad that S'more House was available to us and we highly recommend it to all!

About the host
Hosted by Eric Subik
My family and I live in southwestern Vermont and love to spend time at the lake. Turning onto float bridge road always feels like driving into a vacation.
Why they chose this property
Johnson Spooner is a dead end quiet road. The house is located away from any busy roads which makes for enjoyable walks. This north end of the lake is calmer and makes for a great visit.
What makes this property unique
Weather permitting time can be spent having fun on the lake or in the yard. Even if the weather does not cooperate enjoy the provided board games in the sunroom or just relaxing enjoying the view.
