This church was originally built in 1904 using land donated by General Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs to his stable hand, Mr. Bass to build one of the first African-American church in Colorado Springs. The church was built in the Queen Anne style and served as a significant building for the congregation and civil rights movement in the Midwest throughout the early 1900's. We love to welcome guests that are seeking a quiet and restful setting. The neighborhood is home to longtime neighbors and we expect that guests will be respectful of the surrounding environment. If you're seeking to party or have kids that will not respect neighboring properties, this is likely not the right home for you. To help maintain a tranquil setting, we use a noise monitoring device which is 100% privacy compliant and endorsed by VRBO. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels) so that our home is being used for residential purposes, not wild parties. We look forward to hosting you at our Church House.
