Ocean Front 2 Bedroom in Sea Colony

This 2-bedroom, 2-bath oceanfront condo with a pool is located in the heart of Carolina Beach in the oceanfront Sea Colony complex second floor. You will know you made the right choice as soon as you enter the "Sharpe" condo as the home is nicely appointed and the views are outstanding. This one will have you wanting to book again for next year!

The first bedroom is street side with a Queen bed and en suite bathroom. The bright and cheerful kitchen is open to the oceanfront living room and features Corian counters and upgraded cabinetry. The primary bedroom has a new King bed and is also oceanfront with an adjoining bath. Both bedrooms include TVs. The large covered deck has gracious outdoor seating and spectacular views of the Atlantic.

Enjoy a dip in the oceanfront salt water swimming pool or take advantage of the community grilling area. Elevator access. You will love your stay at "Sharpe"!

Welcome to Sea Colony, a family favorite condominium complex complex! Known for it's well kept grounds with BBQ grills and picnic tables, oceanfront salt water swimming pool and deck, and private beach access, Sea Colony provides an inviting recreational area for the enjoyment of all guests. The complex also has elevator access to all units.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).

Sunrise paradise

Our stay at the Sharpe condo at Sea Colony was wonderful. The condo was clean and well equipped. The living room, main bedroom, and large deck had perfect views of the ocean. The location was very quiet and yet had many restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

The view and location are unbeatable. The place was as described. It has been awhile since it was upgraded. We tried to clean the rust off appliances not realizing it was rust. Both bathrooms were adequate but need an update. The main bathroom tub spout drips. The supplies and utensils were much better than expected. The signs on the building are not good. There needs to be something (map/directions) that this unit is up on the 3rd level. Multiple stairs or elevator. The description needs to note that there is not an assigned parking spot..We had a great time and the unit provided what wr needed.

This condo was very well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful view. Love the large balcony/porch. The only reason I didn’t give a five on cleanliness was because some of the pot/pans-and utensils were a little greasy feeling but no big deal. We just put them in the dishwasher before we used them. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

It was cold and I had to dry my hair with a towel.The front door has no second lock. The maintenance Man came right in. A short knock and in he was. He has a master code and can open all the doors in the complex.There should be another lock so no one with door code could surprise you when you sleep.( Too much happens these days)My husband and I own a vacation rental here in Fayetteville and those doors are secured with double locks, a second security door, and an intrusion alarm. And it is located in a prime location. You have to be out at 10:00 A and can't get in earlier than 4:00P. We had to come all the way back and pick up the parking pass even though we were there at the real estate office at 3:00P.( we would not have entered the condo earlier even though we had the door code.)Had the door code but they did not give us the parking pass so had to make extra trip to pick them up at the real estate office at 4:00P.

Predatory towing put a dark shadow over our anniversary celebration.

TLDR: The unit I rented was ok, but they partner with a predatory towing company to extort vacationers for an extra $300. The representatives at Bryant (property owner) passed off my complaint as "oh everyone here does that". Just because everyone does something wrong doesn't make it right. And I saw at least one property does have a gated lot instead of requiring visitors to remember to place a half sheet of copier paper on their dash every time they park. The property could use a gate with a key card or short term code like we had on the door of the unit. Bryant could issue parking passes with low tack adhesive, or even give their customers a couple pieces of tape. There are many ways to protect vacationers...IF that was their priority. Instead the priority seems to be to squeeze the vacationers for every last dime before they realize the whole town is just another trashy tourist trap with with nothing to set it apart from any other trashy tourist trap from here to the tip of Texas. With that out of the way, now to discuss the unit. We stayed in Sea Colony unit 14 A. This building is elevated with resident parking on the lowest level, then 3 floors of condos above. This unit is on the middle floor. The good: The unit was clean and well maintained. The bed was ok, not great but not bad. The master bedroom and living room both have sliding doors that open onto the patio, which has 6 chairs and 2 tables, and a good view of the beach and ocean. We fell asleep every night and every afternoon nap to the sound of waves breaking. That was nice. The bad: Every horizontal surface in this place is covered in cheap "beach house" type decor. Before we could unpack we had to spend 10 minutes tossing all that junk in a closet so we'd actually have room for our things. The couch in the living room is quite possibly the least comfortable thing I've ever sat on, and I was raised roman catholic so I know uncomfortable seats. And of course, theres the whole stealing my car and extorting me to get it back thing. Prior to getting towed I may have considered staying here again if I were to return to the area. Even though there was nothing outstanding here, the devil you know is sometimes better than the one you don't. After getting towed, and hearing the dismissal of it from everyone I interacted with afterward, I won't return to the property or area in general, and I'll discourage anyone I can from considering this place as well.

Bryan, thank you for your review and feedback. We do not partner with any towing company. The unit is managed by an HOA who handles towing. It is instructed that all guests staying at this complex MUST have the parking pass clearly shown on your dashboard to prevent the public from parking at this private complex so residents and guests, such as yourself, have a parking spot. All guests are given 2 parking passes and instructed of this rule when checking in. This does not reflect on our company and especially not the property, as anyone who follows the simple directions of using the parking passes can avoid this issue. Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the furnishings. We will make note to suggest to the owners. We wish you the best in your future rental endeavors.

Spent lots of time on the covered deck. For the most part everything seemed cleaned except there were several sightings of "water bugs" which completely freaked us out. We were told that they are "normal" for the area but that didn't bring much comfort. As far as dealing with Bryant Realty, they were very nice to work with, very friendly & helpful staff. The entire transaction was very easy to do online and they provided all the details & information that you need for the entire stay. Also, loved the keyless entry into the condo. Having to keep track of a pool key was a little annoying, though. $25 fee if lost! Pool area also very nice & clean.

Sounds like you met some of our "locals" (palmetto bugs) unforutanlty they are prone to the area due to being so close to paradise. No worries! This condo is sprayed for pest control monthly by the HOA to keep those little critters out the best way possible. Thank you for keeping track of the pool key! We ask guests to please make sure to keep the key on hand at all times and to please return at the end of their stay so the next incoming guests may enjoy the pool as well.
