The Butterfly House is a charming, beautiful cabin located in a secluded area surrounded by green forest. Only a short walk to streams and creeks. The cabin is 10 minutes' drive from downtown La Fortuna, where you will find plenty of restaurants and nightlife. This house is a perfect place to rest and relax in between the fun variety of tourist activities (rafting, hiking, horseback riding, hot springs and much more) available in La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano.

Clean and had all supplies needed. Communication with host very good and responsive. Only complaint is that the couch is very uncomfortable to sit on… not sure about fold out bed. Beautiful yard if weather permits sitting outdoors. Would stay again!

Great place!

The property was very pleasant and clean, with beautiful outdoor space. We loved the location - removed from the hustle and bustle of the town but close enough to get there and to surrounding activities easily. Management was very responsive to any issues or questions. Would definitely stay again.

The place is amazing. Great view on Arenal volcano. Neighbors was listening to loud music for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there.

This house is lovely! It is a few minutes outside of town. It is just far enough away for some peace and quiet but close enough for easy access to everything in town. The house and property were immaculate. The kitchen has everything we needed - stovetop, toaster oven, coffee maker. There was also a microwave and plenty of other kitchen tools like pots, pans, cutting boards, strainers, mixing bowls, etc. There is a washer and dryer in the shed. The washer seemed brand new. They both functioned perfectly. The hosts were easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property and would stay there again if I return to La Fortuna!

Perfect Family Getaway

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay! The cabin had everything we needed; it was close to activities and dining. We had a little trouble finding the location because we did not have the Waze App and the Pin from the VRBO website brought us somewhere else.

Amazing quiet place

The cabin was beautiful! The owner and team were so helpful and responsive and even let us use their laundry facilities. The air conditioning was nice and cool and the whole house was very comfortable. Would recommend!

The property was only minutes away from center of La fortuna where shops and restaurants were located. We had minor inconvenience with the bathroom, but host was quick to address. LaFortuna Cabin

It was a great place to experience LaFortuna. It was close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shops downtown without having to deal with traffic and noise. There were plenty of nearby soda's that were also delicious. It was only a short drive to the Waterfall and the hot springs.

Perfect place to stay in La Fortuna!

This place was so amazing. It had all of the comforts of home, was nice and quite in a great neighborhood. It was close enough to participate in all of the tourist attractions and far enough away to give us the experience of living in the area. It was a great addition to our "Moving to costa Rica Exploration ".

Property was as described. It is a ways out of town, so you do need transportation to get to restaurants and activities. But it has a lovely yard to have morning coffee or star gazing at night. On Saturday night, the neighbors were noisy, but they're younger people and that's to be expected. It was quiet the rest of our stay. I would recommend good earplugs if you're sensitive to sound, like me. The birds wake EARLY, and an eye mask was helpful because it gets bright early too. Had all of the amenities we needed.

Volcano view with birds

The cabin was so cozy. It is a easy drive to get to town for groceries or a meal out but also far enough out to be immersed in nature. We had everything we needed and more. I definitely hope to stay here again the next time I am in the area. Pura Vida!

Do not hesitate to book this location if available. It was close to the city and to the volcano but in a suburban area. Just perfect for our family and safe.
