Situated in a lovely countryside setting. The area is great for exploring the hills, parks, steam railways and beaches.
The cottage is within a tranquil setting but within easy reach of the local villages.
People are friendly and the local pubs are welcoming and the food is great.
If you’re looking to stay at a base to travel around and explore then this will be ideal.
Lovely weeks break, loads to do in the area for children trains, planes and rivers. mountains and glorious views everwhere for adults, not 5 star but not 5 star prices, very happy place.

Very spacious and clean with good shower and bath.
Lovely old place with plenty of room including a big entrance lobby for coats, boots, drying dogs etc. Loads of hot water so baths were wonderful. Two toilets were another added bonus. The bed is amazingly comfortable and it's so dark at night, we both slept like logs. Entertainment was good with excellent wifi and a smart tv. The stairs are a bit steep which could be a problem for the elderly or the infirm. Also it's a bit cool but heaters are provided and there is a log burner. Dogs have to be kept on a lead in the garden which was a shame but I can understand as it's shared with the other cottages.

The property is in poor condition.
The property needs refurbishments. The shower in the bathroom on the first floor leaks through the ceiling in the kitchen, most of the lamps don't work, the curtains are worn, so we did some repairment to close them entirely, the heatage doesn't work very well, so you need to put on warm clothes to keep warm. And last but not least: we didn't see any owner during our stay. We mailed, phoned and texted him, but until now no reaction. I wouldn't recommend staying here. For us it was once, but never again.

Thank you for your suggestions. Since your stay, we closed the cottage for renovations to get it back to the standard our guests expect. Unfortunately we did not get any phone call, email or message from these guests and only found out they where unhappy when reading this review which has saddened us.
Kind Regards
Daniel.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, gute Unterkunft, wunderbarer Garten
Alles da, was man braucht.
