About Laura and Stewart Graham
We are fortunate to be able to share five (5) very special places that offer five (5) different Smoky Mountain experiences and which we personally enjoy in Gatlinburg, near Dollywood and just off the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg Pigeon River Spur. We are the owners and not a management company and we are blessed knowing wonderful people for over 10 years who help us with cleaning, maintenance, repairs and to solve any issues or challenges that may arise. We work together to keep our cabins in excellent condition! Mountain Springs is one of these magical places. We also refer to Mountain Springs as our Son, Andrew's chalet - a beautiful place he found that we both enjoy and take care of for him while he is living his dream on the west coast. Mountain Springs Chalet is yours alone during your stay. We will make arrangements for your stay and you will not see nor hear from us unless it is your desire. When you do contact us, we do our very best to be accessible and responsive from the time you book with us throughout your stay with ideas and recommendations to enjoy what Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park have to offer and to address any needs or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time prior to or during your stay. We hope you choose to arrange a stay at Mountain Springs - and please let us know if you encounter anything that may distract you from fully enjoying your stay - we want to provide an opportunity for you to enjoy Mountain Springs Chalet as we do.

Why Laura and Stewart Graham chose Chalet Village
The previous owners were a beautiful elderly couple who filled Mountain Springs Chalet with their love. They called the chalet, Dove's Nest and kept it as their vacation home for their exclusive use for many years. Mountain Springs Chalet is a private chalet with an excellent location offering the alpine atmosphere and charm of one of the few remaining classic Gatlinburg A-frames. It is very close to Ober Gatlinburg, sitting above downtown Gatlinburg with very easy access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Pigeon Forge / Sevierville via Campbell's Lead to the Gatlinburg By-Pass. With your stay, you also have access to the Chalet Village Clubhouses, tennis courts, game room, workout room and seasonal pool.
What makes this Chalet unique
We hope you will also appreciate this historic A-frame as we do when we regularly stay at Mountain Springs Chalet. Enjoy its convenient location to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park (skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, slides, as well as multiple summer activities and amusements, including a zoo), downtown Gatlinburg, additional attractions in Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Also enjoy returning to Mountain Springs Chalet's seclusion, peacefulness and spaciousness. Share our joy exploring the creek or listening to it from the deck, the trees, the flowers, the wildlife, the fireplace, the campfire pit, BBQ grill, the full kitchen, and the charming mountain décor. Also enjoy the Chalet Village Clubhouses with pools, game rooms, tennis courts, workout rooms, and more (and various discounts to attractions and shops). Mountain Springs Chalet is named after the mountain springs that originate from a small cave across the driveway from the front door. This mountain spring flows underneath the driveway and emerges on the hillside to flow into a Cove Mountain stream that makes it way to Buckberry Creek. Buckberry Creek is a large creek that runs across from the chalet down the mountain to the Little River in downtown Gatlinburg. It is fed by our mountain springs (coming out of the mountain across from the front door that runs underneath the driveway and down the hillside) as well as many other spring-fed streams including a stream at the foot of the driveway. There are multiple places to sit on the banks and rocks and enjoy the water flows and aquatic life. Buckberries, as well as blackberries, grow along the creek and the mountain-side.

Please ensure trash is closed daily
Trash was not closed properly which caused send us to wait in driveway while mom bear was eating trash. Funny and scary at the same time.
We had an awesome time staying in this cabin. It was me and my husband with our 2 dogs. The cabin is a bit outdated but the owners are working on it. Laura and Stewart are very nice and will answer any questions you have or any issues that arise. There are games on site in case you want to stay in and have a family game night and they are about 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg.
We will rent from them again.
Enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin.
Cabin was cozy, clean and charming. Our kids enjoyed exploring all the things the owners had for quests. Really appreciated the firewood that was available. Thank you.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and all the things we also love about our chalet! Please come again soon!

Nice place but outdated
Great location. The house design is perfect for a family of 4 but everything in the house is outdated.
Glen, We agree that Mountain Springs has a great design, a great location and the rustic charm of a mountain chalet including a solid brass bed. We disagree with your other assessment as we have all the comforts of home with most everything you would desire for appliances, kitchen utensils and tools, internet with wireless connectivity throughout, cable (and soon Smart TV), etc. - plus all the benefits of the Chalet Village Owners' Club including pools, tennis, game rooms, clubhouses - Our many pictures of Mountain Springs are current (although the woods, springs and creeks are always changing) so we wonder why you chose to stay at Mountain Springs Chalet and give us such a low review grade? Shame on you!
Please know we want everybody to enjoy Mountain Springs as we do and please let us know what we can do and provide for you at any time (prior to or during your visit) to help create a exceptional experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy little A frame! It was perfect for us and our young son. The location is convenient to Gatlinburg and GSMNP while still feeling like a fairly secluded mountain cabin. There are neighbors that you can see, but they are not close enough that we really noticed them. The check in process was easy and the cabin was clean and equipped with all the basic things you would expect. There was even firewood set out next to the fireplace! As other reviews have mentioned the downstairs bedroom is separated from the kitchen by a curtain, rather than a door, but that was not a problem for us at all. The only two negatives we found were that the bedding was in kind of rough shape and that there were no working smoke detectors, which seemed like a bit of a hazard given the wood burning fireplace. Otherwise we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.
Thank you, Andy! We were delighted for you to stay with us and please come again soon! Thank you for the feedback. My husband is there now fixing the smoke detectors and replacing bedding. We continually monitor and make improvements and appreciate you letting us know. We were using back-up cleaners, as our regular cleaners had a death in the family and were away. Our regular cleaners have been with us for over 10 years, and pay attention and work with us to monitor the details such as you mentioned. So, I apologize that we didn't know about the smoke alarm and bedding. This is certainly an anomaly as we are typically up there often enough to catch such things. Certainly smoke detectors! Thanks again!

There was a tree down in the driveway but thankfully my husband was able to move it. There were so my leaves we couldn't find the steps. Looked like no one had been here n a long time. It took my husband 45 mins just to remove all the leaves off the steps and porch so we could walk. When we opened the door it smelled old and musty. This cabin needs alot of TLC. Everything was from the 70s. The cabin was clean and cozy. There were games and books and plenty of utensils and spices. Great area, near town. The leaves are beautiful and the park is breathtaking. We hiked and shopped to we dropped. This cabin needs to be updated for the price we paid.
Hi Martina, First, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind words - please accept our apology for not knowing about this tree that fell. It sounds like you witnessed the effects of what we have confirmed was a strong wind and rain storm that occurred between Monday when the cleaners prepared for your stay and your arrival days later. We should have checked during this gap of five days - as local wind storms do occur and Mountain Springs is surrounded by many, many trees and many more leaves. We do wish you would have called when you found what sounds like a smaller fallen tree, many leaves fallen and a mountain smell as we would have called our cleaners to remedy the effects of one of these storms to your satisfaction - and then definitely more so! We are responsive! We also have debated updating the furnishings - Mountain Springs was lovingly furnished and decorated by a loving couple who used Mountain Springs as their personal hideaway for many years. We feel their love when we stay here at Mountain Springs! Perhaps it is time to replace some of their charm with new mountain feelings as we do want to share a wonderful chalet experience! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay - clean and cozy - and are also thankful to be able to share Mountain Springs with others!
