Just as last time we stayed here, perfect, perfect perfect!!! Howard is the best owner of the best location. amenities and scenery. Privacy rates an A No one staying here at this jewel will not be disappointed.
The most beautiful property. My daughter kept saying, “This doesn’t even look like real life.” The house was immaculate with everything we needed. The perfect basecamp for Leadville/Copper Mountain adventures and the perfect retreat for an afternoon of relaxing, fishing and s’mores.
Awesome property owners, lodging, and private fishing access. Would highly recommend this property for your family and or friends vacation get away.
Also close to town of Leadville for enjoyment of local restaurants and activities.
Outstanding property w great views, access to fishing streams, close to lake torquise. Owner welcomed us at arrival and promptly assisted my son with fly fishing. Hummingbirds were fun to watch. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The property is very nice. Loved watching the hummingbirds and listening to the flowing rivers. Just what we were looking for in a getaway.

Another great stay at this Leadville cabin
We have rented this cabin multiple times before and love it every time. This visit was a guy's fishing weekend and it was perfect as usual. Good relaxation in the cabin and good fishing on property as expected.

Great having you again hope to see you next year. Glad the fishing was all you had hoped for.
The views at the property were amazing! We enjoyed the days by the river and the evenings by the outdoor fireplace. Howard is an excellent host and we enjoyed talking to Howard about the area!
Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.
Hummingbirds and local wildlife like deer and moose. Fishing in the rivers along property was great. Would stay here again.
Everything was perfect. The property is lovely and exactly as described. The running water and land around the property is beautiful. If you fly fish, don’t hesitate on this place, as it’s packed full of brown trout. I fished for 7 straight days and it was never really slow. Howard is a fantastic host and we had many enjoyable conversations with him throughout our stay. He’s been in Leadville for many years and has great recommendations for food, hiking, biking and other activities. All in all 10 out of 10, would stay again!!
If you are a fly fisherman, this place is fantastic! Lots of private water, and many fish. Also, the cabin is lovely, setting is spectacular, Howard very nice and easy to deal with, and they have a great dog, Rosie.
Excellent, well furnished with many artistic pieces and stuffed animals. Great attention to detaill. Well supplied with quality kitchen and bathroom supplies. Beautiful area. Great host. The fishing was fun. We plan to return.
Perfect property and rustic cabin with private trout fishing
Every detail is thought of in a beautiful rustic log home. The huge private property is wonderful for relaxing, walking and fishing. You would pay more than this price just to fish for a day on a private stretch of the arkansas river and you wouldnt get a cabin to go with it so this is an amazing deal. Highly recommended
We have stayed in dozens of rental properties across Europe and the USA, this one is the best we ve ever stayed in. The location is so beautiful, with mountains all around and the river below you, yet Leadville is only minutes away. Howard is a wonderful host and couldn't be more helpful. The house is beautiful, immaculately presented and with everything you could wish for and more. We loved to sit on the deck, watch the humming birds and listen to the river, and when the sun went down we had the outdoor fireplace to keep us cosy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot. We really didn't want to leave. Thank you Howard for a such a great visit. We will be back!
Great property with amazing and peaceful views! The gazebo overlooking the river was beautiful and relaxing! We wish we knew how to fish so that we could’ve taken advantage of the river being so close. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. All kitchen utensils plus extras were provided for cooking meals. We loved our stay and the owner was available if we needed anything. We hated to have to leave!
The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It has its own water access for fishing. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. The only con is that the house and all its windows and outdoor deck face the owner’s house (which is 100 yards away) so it feels like there is no privacy. Also you have to meet the owner to check in which means you need to give him a time for arrival.
This a very nice guest house adjacent to the owners residence. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookwear.
Bed was very comfortable and bath was very nice with premium towels.
The stairs/walkway up to the entrance door might be challenging for the mobility impaired. Having the Arkansas running thru the property is very nice if you fish, bring your waders though.
