Very, very clean building with an up-to-date look and feel. Great view of the sound and quite accessible for older people and wheelchair bound. The only thing I would recommend is that they get more pictures of the elevator and annotate that it goes all the way to the ground floor. One absolutely must stop place is the store called heart of Rodanthe. Great store that really brings the soul of the area to life. Tell the store owner “Bo” that Nick said hi!

Golden week on the sound

Check in was easy (love the keyless entry), house was recently redone, very clean. Elevator was a must with my older group. Access to fishing was great. Any issues were addressed quickly. The only down side was the triple bunk bedroom which my friend and I were using. We are 70 plus ladies and the bed is designed for children. My friend could use the lower bunk, but I had to sleep on the couch upstairs. The house description should state that the bed is for children , (I think even teens would have a problem getting in and out of the middle and top bunks).

We had a few minor issues neither electronic games worked. The wifi wouldn't stay connected to the livingroom tv. A few days before we left the elevator decided to stop working. They was able to get someone to fix the elevator before we left. They never fixed the lights in the hot tub (3 of the lights was out) the hot tub didn't want to heat up above 90. We accidentally left something behind and they never got back to us about it. So just taking that as a loss. Overall it was peaceful and the sunsets was gorgeous.
