Peaceful Rocky Mountain Lake Cabin with Stunning Views and Fishing Lake Access!

Leave the traffic and stress behind! This peaceful place is a perfect spot to unwind!

For those who want to be centrally located to wonderful things the Front Range of Colorado has to offer, this is a great home base for your adventures. Go catch and release fishing with our permission in the lake. There's lots of hiking, bird watching, biking trails and more. skiing and sledding in the winter

Our place is located in the mountains less than 1 hour from Denver and Boulder. There are many day trips to be taken in all directions like Rocky Mountain National Park or Garden of the Gods.

The kitchen is well equipped and there is a grill on the deck to use. Plenty of chairs and tables on the deck to enjoy the spectacular views of the lake and mountains and wildlife.

If you don't feel like cooking, a couple miles south is the Very Nice Brewery and they have food trucks and live music most weekends. Nederland, Rollinsville, Black Hawk and Central City are less than 10 miles away and all have tasty places to eat.

The new Gilpin County Recreation Center is 4 miles south has 2 pools and a water slide, classes and workout facilities.

NO SMOKING or open flame anywhere on our property or inside our place. Unfortunately we recently found cigarette butts in our yard after some of our guests had left. As you have seen on the news, it only takes 1 small careless act to cause horrible fires.

NO PARTIES, 6 people maximum at our place. We want to be sure our place and area is a good fit for you before you book a reservation.
Please find a different place if you want to have more people, damage our property or party and play loud music etc. into the wee hours of the night.
Our neighbors are our friends. They are friendly, quiet and respectful.
We want to be sure our guests are too, so everyone is able to enjoy our beautiful area.

This is a beautiful get-away! The porch sitting at the lake's edge is wonderful and set up well with a grill and many chairs and tables. The area is so quiet and relaxing. The host is very communicative and helpful! She offered multiple suggestions for places to eat in the area. The kitchen was appointed fully with appliances, tools, etc. We spent two comfortable days and nights here - we highly recommend this VRBO!

Kristine was a very gracious host who went above and beyond to help us with things to do in the area. Communication was prompt and very friendly. They were a friendly and lovely couple. The house and location are outstanding. The views are much better than the pictures describe. If you want some peace and quiet on a beautiful lake with close proximity to Nederland and Peak to Peak then this is your place.

Very Peaceful Getaway

Beautiful location with great views. The property is a little dated but well cared for and well equipped. If you are looking to be a bit off the beaten path and enjoy short jaunts to the various parks then this is a great spot for you. I would stay here again.

My second time to stay at this gorgeous cabin. Only 16 miles from Golden, through the State Park so windy roads take a bit longer but the views are amazing. Very relaxing place to unwind.

A peaceful and magical spot

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking to just get away from the city and be immersed in nature and that is exactly what we got here. The lake brings within viewing distance all kinds of animals. So many hummingbirds, dragonflies, bunnies and chipmunks, and we also saw a few moose across the lake! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a recharge with natures surroundings.

Beautiful cabin with a picture-perfect view of a lake and the mountains

We stayed for two nights when the aspen had turned to gold. We enjoyed very much the panoramic view from the sitting room and deck of the lake with the mountains and trees...made perfect by a visit to the lake by a bull moose in the morning to bid us goodbye. Beautiful mountain getaway

This property has all the comforts of home and then some. Great view and peaceful surroundings. We found plenty to do to entertain my teens. Property owner was super responsive and caring as we stayed there during a wild snowstorm. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in regularly. We chose this property for a Mother/Daughter trip for our Moms 80th birthday. The house was amazing, stocked with all the amenities we needed, and offered a view that was unmatchable. It was a quiet and remote retreat, but was still centrally located to most of our planned activities. The wildlife visits by elk, moose and bald eagle were the icing on the cake.

Beautiful Location

This was our third visit in the past year and it didn’t disappoint. Enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening on the deck surrounded by mountain and lake views can’t be beat. We loved paddle boarding around the lake and going for walks in the area. The cabin feels like home and is nestled in a beautiful place. We will be back again!
