Great little area. We only got to do a fire 1 night because of the rain but it is very cozy. Very quiet and loved being able to let the dogs run. Could use a bit of weed walking it was a little overgrown. Great birthday weekend.

The listing was not a fair representation of what I walked into. First of all there was a giant convex container and ram shackled storage sheds on the property and random things strewn about. A pet grave was in the front yard. Electrical and plumbing were either non functional or completely lacking. Outdoor shower didn’t even have more than a weed/ gravel base to stand on. Host couldn’t even be bothered to fulll water vessel needed to allow for use of plumbing. Painted walls were chipped and dirty. Smelled of mold. Ladder to loft area was unsafe. Road to “casino”. Unpassable to low vehicles. Be warned…….

Nice little place to relax in the woods. Immediate and courteous communication from owners. Starlink keeps you connected while enjoying the off grid experience. Perfect camping spot a short drive from Berkeley Springs.

Remote getaway

We came after a snowstorm (Jan 2025), and actually got stuck on a nearby road! However, Austin has helpful neighbors and made sure to check in on us and make sure we were okay. He is good at responding to messages and the place was lovely. I knew it was small, but imo it feels a bit bigger in person. The outdoor swing was also nice to lie in and look up at the sky (or leaves in summer I guess?). I would definitely come here again!

Cozy weekend retreat

We had a great stay at this cabin. When we had trouble getting in, Austin was easily reachable and answered right away, and also reached out ahead of time to let us know that there had been an issue with the water system. The cabin is very clean, has electric, a butane-fueled burner for cooking, and lots of pillows and blankets provided. There are also a couple of small trails off the property through the woods. Thanks for sharing this great spot! Take care driving in in the winter if you do not have 4WD.

A Nice Little Break Away

Staying at Austin's cabin was just what the doctor ordered. Arrival was a bit delayed due to no cell reception and the gate code not being provided prior to arrival. Once we drove back down the road a bit for a smidge of cell reception, we were able to reach Austin and get the code. The property upon entrance was nice, secluded, and peaceful. Plenty of room inside for 2-4 people and plenty more outside to explore. The fire pit and gas grill were nive bonuses and satellite tv although more used for ambiant noise, was a nice perk. I will definitely come back again and hopefully soon!
