The house was unique and special - not the kind of generic room or apartment you find on rental sites these days. Its location was close to the volcanoes national park, but also remote and isolated. Joshua and Geneva gave us excellent directions to get there with ease and checked on us to ensure we had all we needed. Our five-year-old was pleased with all of the games, books, and decorations that showed him that kids are welcome at Volcano Home. Beds were comfortable and blankets were plentiful. Details that made it feel like people actually live in the home such as high functioning WiFi and the full set of supplies in the kitchen, would have made it easy to stay a long time - we wish we could have stayed a few more nights. My favorite feature was the outdoor shower, especially on a cold, clear night when I could stargaze! Some things you should know: you probably should have an all wheel drive vehicle to contend with the gravel road that the house is located on. It really does get cold and windy here (and at the national park) at night.
