This was by far the best property I have stayed in. Minutes from the Redwoods and town. Very quiet and comfortable. The view and yard were beautiful. The hosts were really friendly and helpful

This cute little cottage space was the perfect place to come back to after a day of adventuring. It had everything we needed. We loved that it was beautifully but simply decorated - making for a serene and calm space to relax. The garden space was lovely as well. Julia was such a wonderful host - very communicative and welcoming. We highly recommend this VRBO and would eagerly book again if we return to Arcata!

This place was perfect for our stay in Arcata! We wanted to explore Redwood National Park and this was a great cozy place to stay close to all the hikes we wanted to do. The host, Julia, was super sweet and communicated with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. I 100% recommend this spot for a lovely getaway!

My experience was a little different than most. My husband had a sudden injury the day before we were to go on our trip but the host, Julia, was very understanding and helpful to me. We will definitely try to stay there in the future.

Very quiet neighborhood; lovely garden outside unit; hosts cordial, helpful and totally non-intrusive; very clean and tidy unit; comfy bed; kitchen supplied dishes, utensils, a French press for coffee, gas stove and whistling teakettle. Refrigerator kept things cold and was a decent size to fit everything we brought with us. This is a very nice place to stay.

I wish I could rate this space higher because it had such great reviews, but I didn't have the best experience. The house numbers were very difficult to see as there is a lot of front yard foliage and there were several cars already parked in front of the house. When I called the host for help finding it, she was very nice and came outside for me to find her. Note that you only have the option of street parking and then you enter through a side gate and walk down quite a few widely spaced "steps". It was a much more arduous entry than I expected. The sliding glass door to the unit is at the bottom of the home. So, I made more than one trip down and back to get all my things in. Once inside, the place was clean and fairly functional, but when I went to get into bed I saw that both pillows had makeup stains on them. I know that can happen with white pillow cases, but it seems like new ones should be purchased if you can't get the makeup out. Everything felt damp to me as well. Be aware there is no TV and no microwave. It's very "bare bones" as far as a VRBO goes. The wifi name and password listed on the check in info was different from the actual wifi which is put up on a wall in the unit. I was confused and couldn't figure out how to connect to anything until I found that note on the wall. I'm glad others had such great experiences here, I think I'm just extra picky sometimes, but I like to give my personal, honest reviews for others so they can choose what's best for them.
