Beautiful cottage
We spent two weeks at this adorable cottage, it was decorated so cute and the comforts and the conveniences were great. Location was idea for us to walk, check out the historic downtown, and spend time with our family. Thank you Louise and Martin, we enjoyed our stay, was hard to leave!

Perfect Vacation
Absolutely gorgeous setting, quiet and peaceful (in fact I felt like I was laughing too loud quite a few times!). The cottage is uniquely lovely with gorgeous wood furniture, beams and countertops and a cozy feel. There is English dinnerware and many awesome books! We saw a fox one morning on the lawn which I foolishly scared away by opening the door. Large and sunny windows look out onto the lawn, it was so nice to eat breakfast with the sun and nature views pouring in! This is a perfect place for a quiet and relaxing vacation for one or two people. We went hiking or seeing friends that live in MN (or golfing for my husband) most days and came back to make dinner in the cottage. We are from FL and had hoped for a colorful and cool Fall vacation but it warmed up a lot. We did see some foliage in a few of the parks we hiked. I hope we can return at some point and stay here again. Like I said, it was a perfect place to sleep and relax after a day's adventures.

Gorgeous English cottage
This is an immaculate cottage decorated by the owner, who is an English interior decorator by trade. It overlooks the St Croix River. It could not have been more charming.

About the host

Louise and Martin are both European and their home reflects it. Louise is from England while Martin is from Switzerland. As soon as they found this home set high on the hills overlooking the St. Croix River, Martin felt at home. It was reminiscent of his childhood home in Switzerland. Louise took great joy designing and decorating the home in a European-style familiar to both of them. Better Homes and Gardens took note when they featured the home in their magazine.
