This cottage is attached to a French Normandy-style house and is a very private, ample 1200 square feet. A European immersion experience will enhance this perfect spot for a getaway. This special and memorable home has been highlighted in Better Homes and Gardens.

It is centrally located to downtown Stillwater, either through a beautiful historic neighborhood or along a bike/walking path along the river. At the bottom of your cottage driveway is Stillwater’s southern scenic overlook where you will get the best view of the new St. Croix Crossing Bridge into Wisconsin.

Sweeping French doors into a bedroom, a full kitchen and bar, living and dining room area and a bathroom with shower all on one level makes the cottage easily accessible and livable for short stays or an extended stay.

Absolutely amazing! Arrived in the area earlier than expected and Erin let us check in early. The property is absolutely stunning. Perfect in every way. Location is perfect. So very easy to get back and forth into town. Many cute shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses all very close. The trolly tour was nice and very informative. We wanted to do the river cruise but nothing was available that fit our schedule. The windows in the house face the beautiful grounds, we saw an amazing sunrise from the living room. That followed a day of rain which we actually appreciated! Gave us an opportunity to relax in the beautiful cottage just admiring the beautiful view. Also, plenty of comfortable seating out side to just relax with a morning coffee or nice evening glass of wine. We truly did not want to leave! Hope to return one day. Thank you Erin for making our 35th state visited amazing.

A quiet hideaway in a great location

This is a beautiful property! It was also in the perfect location to be a quick trip to downtown or to various trails/restaurants/etc. while having no exposure to the summer weekend crowds!

Louise and Martin are both European and their home reflects it. Louise is from England while Martin is from Switzerland. As soon as they found this home set high on the hills overlooking the St. Croix River, Martin felt at home. It was reminiscent of his childhood home in Switzerland. Louise took great joy designing and decorating the home in a European-style familiar to both of them. Better Homes and Gardens took note when they featured the home in their magazine.

Why they chose this property

The property is in a preferred location just .8 mile south of downtown Stillwater. It is an easy drive and just a 25 minute walk. It is close to the new river walk into town. There has never been a bad review on this property. You will understand when you see the meticulous attention paid to every detail to make it a premier property and a delightful stay.

You are welcome to roam the gardens and outdoor areas. There is ample space to enjoy inside and out. Friendly weekly rates are available at a discount. Located in one of the premier locations on the bluffs of Stillwater.
