The Surf Hideaway is located in the heart of Kona Hawaii. This is not a fancy condo what you will get is a clean room and bath and the experience of living like a local in Hawaii we live on this site. We offer everything from mask, snorkels and fins there are also beach chairs, boogie boards for your day at the beach. Most guest use the Surf Hideaway as there first and last night on the island because of our location and price. We also love helping our guests with our local knowledge

We loved it. Yes, in accordance with the low price it was small, no AC. However it was perfect for us. Right in town, things to do, clean, safe and best of all the host couple treated us like family and made sure we had a great time. We would go back any time!

My first time to Kona. Check in was super easy. The property was a walking distance to shopping centers. My only draw back was that the small fan. It wasn't keeping the room as cool as I preferred it to be. However, overall, it was a great place to stay. I would recommend this place to people.

The property had an "old Hawaii" feel to it, which was fun. The hosts were around, friendly and very laid back, helpful and enjoyable to talk with. It was very warm, with an oscillating fan which ended up being ok, but that may not be for you. We kept our door to outside open, which was thoughtfully draped with fabric, but after we were trying to sleep a vehicle pulled into the car port which was just outside our door. This was a bit jarring! We weren't aware that other guests would be arriving; it would have been helpful to know that.
