A lovely home in a beautiful setting

Our stay at Southern Cross exceeded our expectations. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, the setting on the lake was very quiet and peaceful, and Pam's attention to details and her personalized touches took our stay over the top. We loved watching the sunrise from the community dock and the lake water rippling and ducks swimming by from the back porch. We also found the Boothbay region to be an excellent home base with so many places to explore nearby.

Awesome Place

This was exactly as advertised and had everything you could need. My wife and I were impressed with the view, location and accommodations. We wanted a perfect getaway for the two of us and this worked out better than expected!

Relaxing summer retreat

My family and I had a fantastic time at Southern Cross this summer! The unit is impeccable in terms of design and amenities. Having a solo stove for evening fire pits with smores and stargazing was lovely. Sitting down by the dock taking in the stunning view was a highlight of our stay. We made great family memories sitting on the wrap around porch. Thank you for offering this relaxing summer retreat! We look forward to returning in the future.

We loved staying at Southern Cross. The property was beautiful. We loved sitting on the dock in the early evening. The house was super clean... which is important to me. Although, we didn't use the kitchen much, it had everything you would need to make daily meals. Pam was a great host; sending us information about restaurants, day trips, etc. which we used daily and were not disappointed with her suggestions. She also reached out to us to make sure everything was going well...a special touch. We highly recommend this home if you are planning a stay in Boothbay Harbor.

Perfect location!

Loved this property! Everything is brand new and well organized. The house is high up on a hill looking down at great views of the lake with 3 levels of sitting areas from the porch, fire pit, and dock. There are 2 kayaks and fishing poles. We were only a few minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor but it was so quiet and relaxing. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful home for a retreat

The space was perfect for our family of four and very true to the listing. We appreciated the well thought out touches, including wiping down the outside furniture and making grill utensils easy to find. The welcome book was also very helpful. The boys enjoyed the fishing rods and we all took advantage of the nice kayaks. This new build has a great outdoor set up and the kitchen is also great for anyone who wants to cook a meal in. We loved sitting on the porch and dock, overlooking the pond. The King bed in the master was comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect summer vacation

We had a wonderful time at this cottage on Appalachee Pond! The house is brand new and has been thoughtfully set up, even down to the labels on lightswitches identifying what lights they operate. We had everything we needed for our stay. The house was very comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch looking down at the pond (which is quite large) and frequently took the kayaks out to explore the scenery. The house is only a few minute drive to "downtown" Boothbay Harbor with its cute stores and excellent restaurants. It's even closer to the Lobster co-op which will prepare your dinner for takeout which we took advantage of several time. The property manager, Pam was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. We can't wait to come back!
