Bears truly do abound in this cozy 2+ bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury cabin. Small enough to serve as your dream romantic couple’s getaway, yet big enough to sleep a maximum of 8 for larger family get-togethers, Bears Abound is the best place to enjoy the majestic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Relax and soak in the breathtaking views from our bubbling hot tub or enjoy the same spectacular view from a relaxing rocking chair on the second floor deck. Bears Abound features two private master suites with King-sized beds and full bathrooms. The second level master suite also has a private, indoor jetted tub. For the kids (or the young at heart), there is a “loft-in-a-loft” with 2 Queen-sized beds and a “crow’s nest” with a full-sized futon. If you like games, Bears Abound will not disappoint! You have your choice of foosball and pool. For those who prefer peace and quiet, imagine curling up with a good book in front of the picture window or snuggle up in front of the cozy fireplace with the Great Smoky Mountains as your backdrop. Guests will receive free high-speed internet/WIFI, access to the resort's pool during the summer and exercise facility/steam room. Bears Abound has it all!

This cabin is the ideal spot for a family looking for a vacation away from the hustle and bustle of PF and GB. The views from this cabin are amazing!! Take a short walk and see a little more of the mountains, they were absolutely stunning!! It’s close to everything, but far enough away to offer that quiet solitude of being in the mountains. We even saw a couple of bears right in the preserve area. Jeff was very responsive to any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family enjoyed this beautiful cabin! The kids especially loved the fun loft area! Everything was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the mountain views from the floor to ceiling window in the living area were stunning. The owner was superb at communicating and was very accommodating to our special requests. If you’re looking for a cozy, quiet place to relax away from the hustle and bustle, this is a fantastic spot.

Property was fantastic! The couches were a little rough however it is dog friendly so I didn’t expect brand new fancy couches. Make sure you can climb a ladder if you plan on sleeping in the loft. The cabin has a private hot tub however the public one listed in pictures is no longer there. Over all we had a fantastic time and would for sure visit again!

Thanks for your review. The resort did remove the public hot tub up by the pool that used to be there, but I was careful to take new pictures of the pool and post them so as to not "falsely advertise" something that wasn't there. I'm not sure where you saw a picture of the old hot tub, but if there is an old one floating around on the website I just want future guests to know that there is no longer a public hot tub up by the pool. We still have the private hot tub on our back deck, of course. Our couches are definitely well-loved, but still functional. You are exactly right: since we are dog-friendly they take more wear and tear than the average. Once they become malfunctional, I will replace them but they are still serving their purpose. Since they are all leather, being a little worn in actually makes them more comfortable (in my opinion) since leather couches can sometimes be so stiff/firm and not as welcoming.

Wonderful property, wonderful stay. Plenty of space for a family and a pup. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers, a child and a dog on our trip to Dollywood. We hiked, we visited Gatlinsburg and Dollywood. We did it all comfortably from Bears Abound. One thing to note, no closet space though we were there from and Weds - Sun and were just fine. Thankfully we had beautiful weather. Don’t know about deep Winter when we all would need thicker clothes and heavy jackets…

We are a family who loves to travel with our dogs to the Great Smoky Mountains. When our son was 5 years old, he told us he wanted his own cabin and he named it 'Bars Ubound' (Bears Abound). When we decided to purchase a cabin of our own, we already knew what the name would be!

Why they chose this property

We have spent many vacations in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We have been on many frightening drives with tight, bending switchbacks and driveways where we couldn't park on a level surface or safely back out into the street. When we decided to purchase our own cabin, we looked at ton of different cabins in different areas. Our #1 criteria was that the drive to and from the cabin be easily accessible and our #2 criteria was to have a spectacular view. #3 was for it to be big enough for our family, but small enough to be cozy. There were a few properties for sale in The Preserve and as soon as we entered the resort, we knew this was the place we wanted to be. The drive is a little steep in places and we would call it 'medium' in difficulty, but it's definitely not nearly as harrowing as drives to many of the other cabins we've stayed at in the area. The parking is level and easy and the views...... THE VIEWS are absolutely the best we've ever seen! Stay with us and we KNOW you'll love it, too!!
