About this property
Oceanside Harbor Cottage-1BR-4 Miles from Acadia National Park
Flip a coin into the waters of Bass Harbor from the deck of this charming and cozy 1BR cottage overlooking the working Up Harbor Marina below and the mountains of Acadia National Park in the short distance.
Sip your coffee before your hiking, kayaking and/or sightseeing adventures as boats, both working lobster and pleasure craft, crisscross the harbor below.
Harbor Cottage gives the best of both worlds: the tranquility of the quiet side of Mount Desert Island plus easy access to adventure!
The first floor is an inviting open living/dining space with a full kitchen alcove and a sliding glass door to the small deck for grilling or peacefully enjoying a morning coffee while watching the sunrise over Acadia and boats coming and going in the harbor.
Upstairs is a queen bed with commanding views of the harbor and off shore islands. Or stream your favorite shows on the bedroom TV. Please bring your own streaming codes.
The kitchen is fully equipped, the Wi-Fi strong enough for a working couple on the go, the TV waits for your streaming codes, and Acadia National Park’s 26 mountains to climb, lakes and ponds for swimming or kayaking, and all Mount Desert Island's 13 villages and towns, with their restaurants and shops are within a 20 radius of your doorstep awaiting exploration.
Harbor and mountain views, a marina and water access, and Acadia National Park just a few miles away define this comfy and peaceful oceanfront location.
From our dock next door you will have access to some of the best kayaking and canoeing in the area. You can explore the very calm harbor. Bring your own boats or we can steer you to local kayak or canoe rental locations nearby.
A short walk or drive will bring you to one of the highest rated lobster and seafood restaurants on Mount Desert Island.
