The location is great and was very convenient with kids to just walk right on the beach while also being just a short drive to activities, stores, and great restaurants. There could be a few minor updates with shower/ bathroom fixtures or appliances and maybe more pillows, but overall for it being a last minute and short trip it served its purpose well and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We've had our team address the items you mentioned above, and are finishing up a few additional updates before Summer kicks off. We appreciate you choosing Young’s Suncoast as your accommodation partner and look forward to hosting you again on future vacations!
We loved the access to the beach! I will probably try to book again.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you loved the beach access — it's definitely one of our favorite features too. We'd be happy to welcome you back anytime, and we hope to see you again soon!
We really enjoyed the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. My granddaughter had the room with the twin beds. She may bring a friend next time. The queen bed was very hard and uncomfortable but was much better after we put our 2” foam mattress topper on it. The king size bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. So nice to be right on the beach which was not crowded at all. We enjoyed the dolphins, crabs, and other wildlife that played in the surf. There were many beautiful shells that came in on the tides. We were also very close to the Gulf Shore Park that had great paved walkways for bikes or roller skates. We celebrated my husband’s birthday dinner at the Oyster House which was a short drive from the Parsonage. Overall it was a great place for our family.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Glenna! We're thrilled you enjoyed the spacious layout and comfortable accommodations. It sounds like you had a fantastic time exploring the beach and watching the dolphins! Original Oyster House is a wonderful place to eat and I'm so happy to hear that your husband was able to celebrate his birthday while in town. We hope to welcome you and your family back for more special memories in the future!

The property is lovely, property management staff was wonderful, & the maintenance crew - Excellent
The Parsonage was very nice, but we had a few suggestions that would make it even better. This duplex NEEDS WiFi. In this age of handheld devices rather than laptops, ethernet cables are worthless. We called maintenance because we thought there was a problem with the WiFi, only to find out that the problem was, there is NO WiFi. The maintenance staff, Aaron and Pam, were the best! They both went over and above, and fulfilled every request we had, including a pitcher for ice tea, and all the ingredients to make biscuits and sausage gravy! I would also suggest that you provide a book with instructions for the TV that includes a program guide (with local channels highlighted) and instructions on which remotes belong to the various TV sets. The lower level bedroom had no remote, and the master bedroom had 3 remotes, but only one worked for the TV. Since it rained several days, we spent a great deal of time scrolling through channels trying to identify the stations and programs available. The kitchen was very small, and did not have the usual supplies that I expect in a VRBO, so it may not be suitable for those who cook 3 meals a day. For all of its faults, the friendliness of the property management team and the maintenance staff more than made up for the flaws, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Thank you for the nice review! We will look into all the suggestions you made, normally our properties are well stocked. We hope you will join us again the next time you visit Gulf Shores!
We stayed for 5 nights at this lovely house with our kids and another couple. It was the perfect size for the six of us. Great deck out back with views of the beach which was just footsteps away! The beach was very wide at this location and not very crowded in early October. Great house!
Everything was great. If I had any suggestions, it would be laminated guide for TV. Instructions on how to use DVR. The ice maker was the biggest disappointment.
This property has great potential, but the owner needs to invest in updating, deep cleaning, and both cosmetic and functional maintenance. Vacationers are spending hard-earned money and using vacation time - the rental property is a huge component in enjoying your time away from home. It should be nice, comfortable, and maintained like a home. I should have taken heed to the majority of reviews on VRBO that advised of uncleanliness and the need for repairs, but I assumed the owners would have responded to that information by now. They charge a $290 cleaning fee . . . not sure how that's justified.
We visited in the off season. The abandoned twin mattress laying beside the driveway made it easy to identify which house was ours when pulling in. I'm assuming the place hadn't been cleaned since early fall? There's a strong mildew odor in the home. The dead roach laying in the middle of the floor and spiders in the bathrooms were an indicator no one had vacuumed or cleaned in a while. A brief list of several issues . . . master toilet continues to run - you have to mess with the flopper to stop it. Master bedroom sink drips continuously. Hole ripped in master shower curtain liner. Mattresses are noisy (just sitting on bed makes loud noise) and uncomfortable. Master bed had what looked like mascara marks on sheets. Bedding in all bedrooms is tired, thin, and worn out. The place needs repainted, new faucets, updated decor. The curtains are not wide enough to cover the entire windows. The sliding door is tricky to lock and leaves an open gap at the bottom when closed. There are cross stitched beach scenes, seashell decor, and lighthouse knickknacks ad nauseum. The deck and stairs need staining. The fence on the dunes has collapsed. The AC unit looks rusty and dilapidated. Throw rugs should be provided inside to catch sand, the exterior mats were sand-filled. The furniture is worn out, uncomfortable, and some even have stains. There's many more fundamental cleaning and maintenance issues, but you get the idea.
The home did have newer tile on the main level. The electric fireplace was nice on cool evenings. The location was great.
Owner, do yourself a favor and bring in professionals to service functional issues and update the place! Your neighbors appear to be making renovations. People don't want to pay to stay in an antiquated home. I didn't intend to provide a bashing review, but I hope the owner takes action.

Beautiful area!
we enjoyed our stay for the most part! Outside shower was broken and property manager was notified next day of stay, with not being fixed until late day of day before leaving! Kitchen was not very clean with a lot of dust and broken cookies on top of refrigerator and dust and dirt in closets. Overall beautiful home, however management and cleaning could be better!
We stayed the first week of August from Sunday- Friday. We were notified 3 days before that the dishwasher was broke, I was understanding and accepted the news. When we arrived we had a difficult time getting any door codes to work. After the 3rd code we were finally able to enter. When we got in the woman explained to us that the microwave has also broke and maintenance didn't have time to put a new one up (above the stove) so, it was left setting on the counter and there was already not enough counter space. We walked through the duplex and she also informed us that the cleaners haven't brought bedspreads and etc that she would personally bring them over Monday or Tuesday. Needless to say no-one showed. Wednesday came and I went to do laundry for my family and I, and the washer had also broke. I had all of my families clothes that needed to be washed setting in a washer full of water. I finally called Youngs Suncoast and was told I would get a call back. Got a call back Wednesday night that she would send someone over to look at the washer. The maintenance man came and said he could not fix the washer due to its age and it needed to be replaced, then he left. I went up to check on our stuff and he had used OUR clothes to clean up his mess (which is unacceptable). I called the manager of the property back and informed her of everything that had happened since our stay. She never once offered to reimburse us for some of the hassle or offer a solution. Thursday came which was our last night and someone brought new towels and finally the bed linens (which was pointless by this point). The point of paying for something nice on vacation is the amenities that come along with it and to have a stress free environment; does that sound stress free to you? The only difference in staying there versus a hotel was the stove (that we used once). Don't get me wrong the location is great, but the pure neglect on managment of our dissatisfied experience and hassle with their property went ignored and unresolved. I will not be staying there again, as the management and Youngs Suncoast has made obviously aware they have no care or concern for their customers.
This property was as pictured, but it was fairly outdated and needed some renovations. It was almost too small for a family of 8 but it did the job. Definitely bring some extra blankets cause they don't provide bedding for the pull out couch. The dishwasher did not work and there were no oven mitts any where we could find. All in all though the house made a great for a great vacation being right on the beach
Without going into too many details (though I have photos) I cannot suggest this unit for anyone to stay. While the location was great there are far too many issues that need to be addressed immediately.
When you pay over $3,200 ($457 plus per night) to stay you should have expectations the environment is safe, appliances work correctly and the unit has been maintained properly.
There were safety concerns for us, general uncleanliness and poor management, who did attempt to respond to us while on vacation, but has yet to respond concerning these issues via VRBO.
This vacation place has now made us reconsider ever using VRBO again. I do wonder, however, if the property management company will respond to my review now.
In short, it’s not a place I feel safe taking my family and what was suppose to be a stress relieving week turned out to be just the opposite.
I’d pass on this unit until things are corrected.
Issues as noted to the property management company:
Upper deck joists pulling away from main front support beam (no joist hangers used)
Popcorn ceiling falling twice during our stay due to what appears to be a water leak in the ceiling
Microwave did not work (but they brought us a toaster... not joking)
Air conditioning went out due to old battery in thermostat (ended up stopping in to the office to get someone on this and it apparently has happened frequently)
Nails coming up from the decking (why did they not use screws?)
Grill falling over on its side (literally useless)
Potential trip hazard on the deck as a portion of decking is warped and in the downstairs hallway due to the tile being very uneven
General lack of cleanliness and lack of upkeep
Hope this helps and renter beware

Eh, beach was nice
Very nice location. Home was very dated and small. Microwave and toaster didn’t work, upstairs sinks barely drained, sketchy lamps as well. No instructions for trash pick-up, beach rentals or anything. Beach was perfect though!
The property was very nice, comfortable beds and furnishings. The kitchen lacked a few items for overall cooking...no cookie sheets, no functioning toaster and the dishwasher was malfunctioning.
The distance to the beach was a challenge since all items had to be removed everyday.

Nice house but needs updating and a good cleaning
Great floor plan, Nice beach area and outdoor shower. Property needs a good deep cleaning. More than the surface stuff a cleaning company does. Upstairs beds need new mattresses as they are not comfortable at all. Kitchen is functional there is just no storage space. Plan to bring a bin to store items in on the floor.

Good property
We enjoyed our stay. The property was nice. We were disappointed in the size of the kitchen, it would better if you had Wi-Fi installed so that one would not have gone I g their own..
The roof on the beach end leaks some in upstairs bedroom.
