About this property

Luxury King Suite Downtown St. Augustine. Park and Walk everywhere.

THE SPACE:
Located in a large historic Victorian home built in 1892 in downtown St. Augustine, Florida, this suite holds historical significance as it was a former residence of George Washington’s Grand Nephew. This luxurious King-sized suite boasts a separate entrance and features a spacious bedroom with a King-sized bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a computer work area with a desk. Guests will also have access to a large deck which is easily accessible from the suite.
One of the major advantages of staying here is the convenience of its central location. Guests can simply park their car and explore the downtown area on foot, as it is within walking distance to a myriad of attractions including restaurants, entertainment venues, and other points of interest. Furthermore, the beautiful beaches are just a short 10-minute drive away. It is important to note that listing offers a private small apartment situated within the larger Victorian House, ensuring a unique and comfortable stay.

GUEST ACCESS:
Bedroom/living, kitchenette, bathroom, private rear deck with porch furniture. Private parking in rear of house.

GUEST INTERACTION:
We genuinely value the opportunity to meet new people and create meaningful connections, so we are more than happy to interact with our guests during their stay. As fellow residents of the home, we take pleasure in sharing our local knowledge, providing recommendations, and engaging in friendly conversations.
However, we understand and respect that some guests may prefer a more private and secluded experience. In such cases, your privacy will be completely honored. If you prefer to enjoy your stay without much interaction, we will ensure that you have the space and privacy you desire.
Our goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where guests feel at ease. We are flexible and adaptable to your needs and preferences, and we'll make every effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable, whether you seek social interaction or a quiet and private retreat.

NEIGBORHOOD OVERVIEW:
The neighborhood surrounding our place is steeped in history and offers a tranquil and secure residential setting. It is characterized by a collection of beautiful Victorian-era homes, creating an aesthetically pleasing environment. One remarkable aspect of our neighborhood is the strong sense of community and friendship among residents, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Conveniently located just across the street is the recently opened La Nouvelle restaurant, which is highly recommended and a must-try for anyone visiting. For those interested in local craft beer, Dog Rose Brewing Company is just a short 2-minute walk away. Within a comfortable 5-minute walk, you'll find the renowned Ice Plant Restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious meals. Nearby, the Saint Augustine Distillery also offers free tours and tastings, providing an insight into the art of spirit production.
If you're a wine enthusiast, a few more minutes of walking will lead you to the San Sebastian Winery. Here, you can partake in complimentary tours and tastings and enjoy live music at the winery restaurant and Dog Rose on weekends.

GETTING ARROUND:
If your plan is to explore the historic downtown area, as mentioned earlier, our location offers the convenience of being a mere 10-minute walk from almost anywhere downtown. However, if you prefer to use public transportation, there are several options available in St. Augustine.
The STAR Circulator is a complimentary bus service that operates in a circular route around the downtown area. This service allows you to easily navigate the main attractions within the city center. Additionally, the Sunshine Bus Company provides transportation services to destinations outside of downtown, such as grocery stores and other areas of interest.
Another popular means of transportation in St. Augustine is the abundance of Pedi-Cab services, offering a unique and leisurely way to explore the city at a comfortable pace. Furthermore, trolley services, including the Old Town Trolley and Ripleys Believe it or Not, conveniently accessible just a few minutes away from the Ice Plant Restaurant. It's worth mentioning that the Old Town Trolley also provides service to the nearby beaches.

Very Nice Property in a Great Location
We were in town for a wedding at the Lightner Museum and the location was great. There's even a great French restaurant across the street as well as a brewery a block away. The rental was clean and quiet and very nice.

A beautiful little guest suite in a great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the luxury king suite. The hosts were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. The suite had everything we needed for our four day stay. The kitchenette was more well equipped than expected. There was a toaster, coffee pot, tea kettle, and plenty of plates and bowls tucked in the cabinet as well as a small fridge and freezer for food storage. Morning coffee and afternoon snacks on the lovely deck was a definite highlight. It’s a very walkable location. It was nice to be close to everything but in a neighborhood rather than a hotel/ tourist district. We enjoyed exploring on foot and only used our car to go to the grocery store and for a drive down the coast. Dog Rose brewery- a block away- had great beer and live music. And dinner at the French bistro across the street is a must. Save room for dessert!
