About this property
Beautiful Bear Valley Real Log Cabin - 2 Big Balconies - Outdoor / Indoor Dining
Beautiful Bear Valley Log Cabin - great in all seasons! Spacious family room is open to kitchen and dining area and perfect for quality family time with large couch where you can relax in front of the gas fireplace, play games or enjoy the downstairs entertainment system with a Blu-Ray player and Apple TV. AT&T wifi is also provided. Kitchen is perfect for dinners at home, and well-equipped with dishes, pots, pans and professional Hallman stove with double oven. Dining area has seating for up to 13 (8 at the table and 5 more at the bar - we have done 10 at the table), or have 14 eat outside on the covered, light upper balcony on two side by side picnic tables. Downstairs has a full bath with tub shower and 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds. Upstairs has a loft with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4) and a futon as well as a master bedroom with a king bed and a trundle bed with 2 twin mattresses. The master bath has a shower with bear claw soaking tub. The loft also has its own separate entertainment area with flat screen and a DVD player. Enjoy the sunset from the lower or the upper balconies. There is also a Weber Grill on the lower balcony, but we can't guarantee the status of the propane tank, but we try to keep it full. There is a new dishwasher and a new washer and dryer.
In winter, you can walk 300 yards into the property from Parking, over a snow road and don't need a snowmobile for access. This is a REMARKABLE convenience and will save you hundreds of dollars on snowmobile rentals. While the road and driveway get groomed regularly, guests should still be relatively fit and comfortable walking on packed snow. Of course, after a large snowfall, the snow may be deeper before the groomers come. A big plastic transport sled is provided to haul in any gear/food. This is a very snowy and beautiful area.
For a fit family, that can walk the 300 yards and get their gear in, this is a remarkably convenient and economical way to do Bear Valley in the winter.
Ski out to the Bear Valley Free Shuttle to the Bear Valley Ski Resort (5-10 mins) and if the Village Side of the mountain is open, then ski-in at the end of the day via Lunch Run (with some slight minor uphills of a few hundred yards in the Bear Valley development - we can share best route details), or take the shuttle home. Alternatively, drive 10 minutes to the Bear Valley Ski Resort. World class cross country ski and snowshoeing trails are also right in the neighborhood.
In summer, drive right up to the cabin and enjoy Bear Lake or Lake Alpine (10 minute drive) and abundant hiking and waterspouts. This cabin will host your fun in all seasons.
Use of Bear Lake is included in the Rental - just a few minutes away and nice and warm by 4th of July.
We ask that there are NO parties, ABSOLUTELY NO smoking and NO pets and that guests kindly treat the cabin as if it was their own.
