The Caribou Chalet (hot tub, sauna, 7-bedroom, sleeps 18)

We invite you to stay at The Caribou Chalet, a newly renovated 7-bedroom Swiss-style chalet. It comfortably accommodates max of 18 people. It comes with modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, 4K Netflix, Spotify, hot-tub & sauna. *** LINENS AND TOWELS ARE PROVIDED! *** It's situated at the end of a treed trail, backing onto a forest, and just a short 3-min drive or 15-min walk to the busy Blue Mountain Village. We are family friendly, and we love dogs. Our goal is to provide you with a superbly clean, safe and comfortable stay with access to all the outdoor activities in Blue Mountain.

Overview of The Caribou Chalet:

This semi-detached chalet backs onto a conservation area with lots of trees. You will get the feel of living in a forest with lots of privacy.

The swiss-style chalet has an open concept top floor featuring super high ceiling with exposed wood beams. Kitchen, dining room and living room are all on the top floor making it a great place for families and friends to dine and hang out. There's also a large balcony at the back of this top floor with natural gas BBQ and patio furniture to enjoy your gourmet food outdoors.

The ground floor has 4 bedrooms (1 king & 3 queens), 2 bathrooms and a sauna. There's also a large hot-tub for up to 8 people on the deck at the back of the ground floor.

The lower level has a large game room equipped with air hockey, foosball and TV. And there are 3 more bedrooms on this level with a double size bunk bed in each bedroom.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, pots, pans and utensils that you would need to cook a gourmet meal. There are also toaster, coffee maker and Keurig coffee machine for a warm breakfast. In addition, there is also a large 3-burner Weber natural gas BBQ on the balcony right next to the kitchen. Whatever you want to cook, we've got you covered. All you need to bring is your food materials, secret sauce and favourite seasoning. There are two large fridges to keep your food and beverages cool whether you are here for a weekend or staying for a full week. Finally there is a dishwasher to do the dishes so that you can sit back and enjoy your vacation after a wonderful meal.

Dining room:

A 12-foot-long harvest table in the spacious dining room will provide comfortable seating for your large group while they enjoy the gourmet meal that you just prepared!

Living room:

The large living room has a massive brick fireplace to provide a warm ambiance. Over the fireplace is a large 55" smart TV with Rogers cable, 4K Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Spotify, etc. And over the TV, it is the master of this chalet, The Caribou, from Labrador. Through the grand windows on the front side of the chalet, you will be able to see the Blue Mountain ski runs in the winter.

Bedrooms:

There are 4 bedrooms on the main floor including 1 king bed and 3 queen beds. They are furnished with Canadian made Endy mattresses and Sealy mattresses to guarantee you a good night sleep after a busy day of skiing, hiking, mountain biking or just relaxing.

There are 3 more bedrooms on the lower level with double size bunk beds (both top and bottom are double sizes). All double mattresses were newly purchased this Spring. In addition, also on the lower level, the game room sofa can be pulled out and turned into a sofa bed.

Each bed is equipped with two pillows and a comforter. Plus, commercially laundered white bed linens, pillow cases and towels (bath towel and hand towel) will be placed at each bedside. (Yes, you don't need to bring your linens from home!)

Additional blankets are available in the chalet in case you find the comforter too warm or not warm enough.

Entertainment:

Unlimited high-speed internet!!! Our internet Wi-Fi is over 500 Mbps fast. The 55-inch Samsung smart 4K TV is hooked up with Rogers cable including all your favourite sports channels. And it also has built-in Netflix and Amazon Prime Video apps with accounts already logged in, so you can watch your favourite Netflix or Amazon Prime shows! Or everyone can stream their own movies on their own mobile devices if you can't all agree on what to watch on the big screen. If there's a special event happening that you want to watch via Pay Per View, I can make it happen too. (I once ordered a live UFC fight match for a guest. See the 5-star rave review from Nicholas under my profile.)

The game room on the lower level has an Air Hockey table and a Foosball table. It also has a 55-inch 4K TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & YouTube as well.

There's also a SONOS ONE speaker with Alexa and Spotify in the living room! Yes, simply ask Alexa to play your favourite songs for you. Life is good while vacationing in The Caribou Chalet!

Kids stuff:

As a father of three, I know what it's like to travel with little ones. If there's anything you need for your little one, be it high-chair, playpen or plastic eating dish, I'll try my best to arrange it for you before your arrival.

Guests have private access to the entire chalet, backyard and outdoor hot-tub.

I communicate with guests via email or phone/text as much as you need/want. We go above and beyond to make your vacation the most enjoyable one.

I'll try to meet and greet guests upon the arrival. During your stay, I'll be just a text message/phone call away. My local property management company will be available to assist in case of any urgent care that need to be done locally.
