A lovely room in a lodge with stunning views from our room. Tasty Thanksgiving buffet offered. Staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts and evening meal in the restaurant on site. Great location to visit Shenendoah and Skyline Drive.

Cozy space with a gorgeous sunrise view
This was the perfect space for a winter wonderland getaway. Gorgeous sunrises could be viewed from the balcony or from the comfortable bed. Every detail supported a cozy, warm retreat from the natural, welcoming aesthetics of the lodge to the carefully chosen decor of the room. Although the snow and ice impacted the ability to hike nearby trails, the grounds offered regularly plowed roads conducive to walking safely through the snowy landscape of the beautiful property. Perfect place for moments of solitude and meaningful connections with nature, the occasional human, and Jumper, the resident beagle.

Amazing From Arrival to Departure
We visited this lovely resort for a family wedding and could not have had a better experience. From the service at the front desk and the restaurant/catering to the incredible views and room appointments, the stay was such a pleasant experience. Unbelievable views and rooms with whimsical themes make this a must visit place for couples or families.

Beautiful Stay
We were heading north up the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah NP and stopped here for a night. What a beautiful spot! We stayed at the lodge in the Dream Catcher room which was perfect. We had dinner at the Bearrr Appetit Restaurant outside on the deck and the food (and beers) were so good. The service was great and we enjoyed talking to our servers about growing up in the area. Breakfast the next morning was just as good as dinner. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be back!
Friendly with a beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Well done

Fantastic hideaway.
Love, love, love this place. Will be going back for a longer stay. Just wish we knew that the restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday. But there are other options nearby.

Pleasantly Surprised
The lobby and common areas give off a rustic feel. The room however was quite modern We had a great view from our balcony. Our room was sophistically decorated.

Gorgeous setting!
The ambience, decor, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff are top notch. He food was amazing as well. Unfortunately, our stay wasn't 5 stars across the board because we literally waited hours to be served both in the the restaurant and at the front desk. They really need to hire more help -- especially for special events when they are fully booked.

Great stay
We had a great stay. The lodge is beautiful. Just some feedback to make it better. No maid service when staying multiple days? The door in the hallway that divides the hotel sections needs the shock adjusted it slams really hard and wakes you up. The fireplace on the 2nd level would be nice if we could have started a fire or was burning to enjoy. The lodge is really a wonderful place and we will definitely be back. My wife loved the dog jumper I think was his name. Thank you for a great weekend.

no front desk or restaurant
I want to first say we loved the lodge and the "Dream Catcher" room, and especially the location. What we didn't like was the lack of anyone at the front desk and a restaurant that wasn't open until Thursday (actually Friday for us because of timing). I understand that late April is off-peak, but finding a place to eat is a bit of a challenge when you don't know the area, nor could we find a listing posted of local restaurants for consideration. While there wasn't much need for front desk personnel, we did have occasions where having a person available would have been nice.
Entry in/out of the lodge after-hours was a breeze - thank goodness we were told how when we first arrived or this may have been a mystery as well. BTW - I believe we got lucky on finding a person at the front desk upon our arrival Tuesday evening, which may have made our experience better than it might have been if no one was there to talk to.
Lake of communication: My wife and I had a couple massage, but no one ever told us where it would be, so we assumed it would be in our rooms. Wrong! We finally walked to the lobby after our message time passed only to find our two massage therapists waiting for us. Please communicate with your patrons to better set expectations.
Final word. All the employees we encountered were VERY pleasant, as was the lodge and location, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

No coffee. Dusty.
We had a fun event to attend at Lydia Mt so it made sense to stay the night. Our room was fine; dusty with many cobwebs on all of the stuff. Additionally, there was no coffee in our room- just an empty basket. The rooms are far too cluttered and dark. Must be a nightmare to clean.
