We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this 2nd floor apartment. It was me and my sister (50’s), and our dad who’s 85. The steps inside to the apartment are steep- they are likely original to the house which is a 2-story Victorian style converted into 2 apartments. I say this to warn anyone traveling with someone with mobility issues- this would not be the house for you. My dad did okay though- we’d go out for the entire day, so he only had to navigate them down and up once. :-) The house location is great- easily walkable to downtown, even for dad (he just kept it slow with his cane). There was a bit of street noise on weekday mornings from trucks waiting in the Shelter Island ferry line which runs along the street in front of the house; it went quickly though. We encountered an issue at checkin and the owner came over to address it immediately. The couch & beds were very comfortable. The kitchen stools/chairs get a fair rating because some of the seat springs are broken and they sunk in. Lots of linens and towels were provided, and there was a pack’n’play we saw in a closet for little ones. We didn’t cook while there so we can’t comment on kitchen equipment. The house also has a few beach chairs for use which was great. Overall it is a clean, renovated apartment in a great close location to downtown, and we’d stay there again.
Adorable upstairs apartment with modern updates, very clean, and a nice size for a family of 5. Owners family were wonderful to talk with and very helpful. Everything is within walking distance. I would highly recommend and hope to stay again.
We had a wonderful extended weekend here! So close to town, where there’s lots of shops and restaurants. The apartment is clean and cozy. Love the small outdoor space!
The property was perfect for our weekend away! Overall the accommodations were clean, comfortable and well stocked. The only two notes are: The screen door is difficult to lock because of the keypad lock on the door. Also we didn’t realize the apartment was on the second floor which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for future guests. I think it should be mentioned for future guests.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this apartment - it is cozily decorated, spotlessly clean, the kitchen is extremely well stocked (Keurig machine with K cups - for all the coffee fiends like us 😁 - plus anything else we needed), the hosts thoughtfully left lists of recommendations and sightseeing and food along with all the local papers, and the location is unbeatable - a short walk to Greenport town, the marina, and the beach. We were four adults and two kids and we slept comfortably between the two bedrooms + sofa bed in the living room. Highly recommend this stay and looking forward to visiting again! THANK YOU to our hosts!
