Great space!

The property was as listed and a great spot for our work retreat. The multiple rooms/bathrooms were welcome for our group to have their privacy and the dining table was just the right size for us to discuss strategies. The hot tub was also nice and the view of the frozen river was unique.

Great house!

We all had an amazing holiday. The house was perfect for the 12 of us. We saw coyotes on the frozen river and area behind the house nearly every day. We would all come back again.

Great location

Everything was great! Location on the river was incredible and it was definitely roomy. Only complaint was pool table rail was messed up, no ping pong balls, and a tv not working in one room. Other than that, great stay!

Amazing Property!

We had 12 women who were in town for a retreat staying at this amazing property. The location was absolutely stunning along the river. The rooms were very comfortable. Kitchen was amply supplied with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The best part was getting to watch a herd of elk hang out right across the river. This is one of the best VRBOs we all had ever stayed in.

Perfect Estes Park Spot

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the River Home - the space was large and well equipped, the location in Estes Park was convenient to everything we wanted to do, and we felt right at home! Jane communicated effectively and was very helpful both before and during our stay. I don't hesitate to recommend her home to anyone seeking a relaxing and convenient stay in Estes Park!

Great Location for Company Meeting

We had a very nice stay in Estes Park. The house is located close to town and is in a beautiful area. We watched the elk across the river every day and enjoyed listening to the river as we sat in the hot tub. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen well stocked and family and dining rooms are great for a group. The owner was very responsive, checking in with us once we arrived and following up the day we left. Great time!

House and setting was beautiful. You are asked to bring toilet paper and paper towels. Really?

Plenty of room for 10 -12 people. Quiet neighborhood and walking distance to a restaurant and shops. RMNP is just down the road! Kitchen is well stocked. The host wants guests to check out by 10 a.m. and wash/dry all towels used. We found it alot to do when packing up to go.

Fantastic House for Family Getaway

My family, including me and my wife, my 3 adult daughters, their husbands and 4 granddaughters had a fabulous time in the Estes Park River home, even in the winter where the river was frozen over. The house was roomy and perfect for adult and child activities. The spacious bedrooms were comfortable and had lots of room for everyone. We all want to come back again in a warmer season where we can appreciate and listen to the running river as well. Highly recommended.

Almost in RMNP!

The check in process was fairly straightforward, and the owner provided the code details with ample time before check in.The house was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had a good sized cabinet pantry, as well as additional cabinets for more food storage. There were plenty of pots, pans, sheet pans, kitchen tools, etc. The only thing we could not find was a spatula, but we may have missed it.The kitchen had a drip coffee and pod coffee maker. The living room was very spacious and the dining room table was able to easily accommodate 10 people and a lot of food without issue. All of the bedrooms have fun themes and comfortable beds! The river running in the backyard was just an amazing feature because of the sound and the beauty. If you want to walk it, I suggest you buy/bring water shoes to protect your toes. We saw an elk feeding and drinking from the creek bed and creek most of the days we were there. The back porch and balcony were very comfortable and provided both shade and sun options. If you are visiting to hike Rocky Mountain National Park, you cannot beat this location. We were able to get all the way to the parking lot at Bear Lake Trailhead within 35mins. You can be inside the park within 10 minutes. The Safeway is not far from the house, and there is a surprisingly well stocked corner grocer just a minute or two from the house. We had some small hiccups with the house, but the owner was quick to respond.

Fabulous Colorado vacation

This home was amazing. Super clean- the cleanest rental I have stayed in to date....lots of extras. Jane has given her best to this rental. Loved the location....the river in the backyard - my grandson caught a fish on our last day there. Having a garage for the cars was great on the days we had snow. Great road to walk on with amazing views of the mountains. Jane is very helpful if you need her. Kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of tools. Comfortable beds. Saw lots of wildlife just outside the cabin. I can't think of one thing to find fault in this rental. We HATED to leave! Estes Park is a quaint little town. For about an hour drive, we went skiing, sledding and snowmobiling. Grocery store is close. You will not regret renting this cabin!

I would give zero stars if possible...

Beware: The owner of this property is NOT AN HONEST BROKER... We had one heck of a time dealing with this host. She will slap on extra fees after your check out. When confronted she is rude and uncooperative. The beds are worn out, the internet does not work in more than half of the house. The house, hot tub and property was not properly cleaned from the guests before us, the air hockey table doesn't work, and if you have any questions during your stay she is very very rude when responding. She charges large cleaning fees and expects you to wash all towels and linens before your 10am checkout. I would steer clear of dealing with this host.

My five kids and husband and I come to Estes every year, as we are Colorado natives. We’ve stayed at about 11 years’ worth of VRBO’s, and this one of our all time favorite. The place itself was so lovely and thoughtfully packed with convenient accommodations (all the kitchenry one actually uses! Spices, beautiful crockery, well-stocked toiletries, tons of towels for the hottub and flip flops one could use for example) and super fun amenities. We played ping pong and air hockey all weekend long and the hot tub right by the river is gorgeous. And most honorable mention to the steam shower! The porch and patio welcome family/gathering time so beautifully. This is one of the only places that truly cleans all the corners and keeps up with the carpet, the dusting and treating well, the wood and beautiful quartzite counters. It is still a lodging off the river and has a cabin feel but it is well loved and curated and cared for. All my boys felt that and said this is their favorite place so far!

I consider myself to be very blessed and fortunate to live in a country where we can enjoy our freedoms. I find the world and people fascinating and relish the time I can spend traveling and exploring.. I love to travel, experience the world and spend time outdoors.

Why they chose this property

I worked at the YMCA of the Rockies one summer while in college and I almost stayed rather than going back to college. Rocky Mountain National Park has some of the best hiking in the world. Being by the water and soaking up the outdoors while listening to the soothing sounds of the river and taking in the spectacular rocky mountains is a wonderful feeling. The energy around our home and along the river is awesome and being so close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park is wonderful.

What makes this property unique

We are 1.5 miles to Rocky Mountain National Park and less than that to a grocery store and shopping. Relax by the river while reading a good book and being mesmerized by the spectacular beauty of the mountains and the sounds of the river. Sit on the river patio while fishing to your heart's content. Soak in the hot tub after hiking or snowshoeing while watching and listening to the river. Enjoy a soothing, peaceful steam shower anytime you desire. Relax with your morning cup of coffee on the patio taking in all the beauty. Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck as the sun sets behind the mountains while cooking those fresh caught fish on the grill.
