License #: 3444 On the side of Old Man Mountain you will find the Eagles Nest Mountain Retreat. Rejuvenate your family in the crisp mountain air while overlooking the town of Estes Park below you on the wrap-around deck. Access to 16 acres of private land protected by a conservation easement allows for hiking, bouldering, and gaining the summit of Old Man Mountain for a beautiful view of the valley. 5 bedrooms two suites, loft and a bunk room with a total of 8 beds.
As you come up the driveway you will immediately notice the unique features of this property. Rock outcroppings dominate the landscape in all directions including a very large truck-sized boulder that dominates the opening scene. Behind the house the rocky mountain towers over the property several hundred feet up. The opposite direction provides views of the town in the valley below.
Walk in on the main floor to a cozy living room with a HD Smart TV. Off this living room is a bedroom with a queen bed and attached half bath/laundry combo. Upstairs is the main living room with another HD Smart TV, dining room, and kitchen. This level has a wrap-around deck and 4 large sliding glass doors that invite the indoors and outdoors to become one. Go up a half flight of stairs to the three bedrooms and bathrooms - 4 more steps lead to the loft with two queen beds and TV area. The three bedrooms consist of two suites with attached full bathrooms, and a third bedroom with a queen bed and twin over twin bunk bed. The Mountain. This property is part of a 16-acre conservation easement that includes a large portion of Old Man Mountain. The mountain is an icon in Estes Park - visible from most places in town. An easy hike to the top renders picturesque vistas in all directions. The easement protects the wildlife habitat and nature of this historic rock which goes back 5000 years when Native Americans used it as a "vision quest" site. This property allows its guests to get away yet still be so close to town. I don't know that there is another large chunk of land this close to downtown. This property is the last one on the street with a large buffer from everything else - yet you could walk downtown in 15 minutes and see Lake Estes from the deck.

Excellent property! The home is very comfortable fand clean or family in an excellent location with mounntain views! Recommend highly and we have stayed in a lot of properties in Estes!
I have stayed at many Estes Park properties over the years and this was one of the best. Close to downtown but private and secluded on the side of a mountain. Lots of wildlife seen from the deck. Beautifully redone bathrooms on the upper levels and a huge kitchen. This was a long weekend trip for college friends and it was perfect.
Perfect location and great views. We came to Estes Park for a wedding and this house was perfect for my husband and I, our 2 grown children, and 6 grandkids. The loft area, along with the bunk room were ideal for the grandkids. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked with detergents, paper products (tp and paper towels), and coffee making our trip to the store easier. Owner is very sick with communication.
This house had everything we needed and was beautifully tucked away in the mountains but SO close to Main Street. The host was incredibly responsive, flexible and helpful. The bathrooms were especially beautiful. Highly recommend this rental!
Extended family of 6 adults 5 children 8-16 years old. This house is exactly as advertised with excellent location just 5 minutes or less to downtown and east access to RMNP. We have spent many weeks in Estes Park over the last two decades and this may be our favorite vacation home yet.
We had a great stay. The proximity to the park and town were perfect for our plans in Estes Park. The landscape around the house was awesome for kids playing (although you have to be very careful). Only negatives were a couple beds weren’t very clean and the deck had a few loose boards. But overall an awesome stay and good communication throughout with management.
My family really enjoyed the property. We enjoyed the view and the access to nearby old man mountain. Location was close to town but yet far enough away you have some privacy. Overall the property was amazing
Such a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Plenty of parking for all vehicles. Plenty of space for people to spread out and great set up.
Would stay again for sure and recommend to others for sure.
Great house walking distance to the main shopping district of Estes Park. Big open room for families to gather and lots of bedrooms/sleeping areas. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent again if/when we have another family occasion.
We were in town for a horse show, very convenient to the fairgrounds, super quiet, amazing deck with beautiful views and comfortable home with well stocked kitchen. I would stay here again in a heart beat!
Owner was extremely friendly and responsive. The downtown shopping district with free parking was only a couple minutes drive. RMNP was only around 10 min drive. Steep driveway to a large parking area that easily held out 3 big SUVs and could have held 1-2 more. The home was rather warm on the hot summer day we arrived. We moved around the portable air conditioners to cool it down - luckily, days cooled down after that. The 3 full baths were renovated and lovely. Kitchen was well stocked. (I was told by my husband to mention that the toilet paper was very nice.) There was a trailhead very nearby to a pretty mountain hike.
The property was the perfect size and location for our stay-we also enjoyed seeing the wildlife around our house as well. Dave was very responsive and a great host!
This home was set in the most breathtaking location of the mountains and we enjoyed walking around the rocks…house was perfect for 10 people we had in our party.
