not only was this place very close to town (less than a 20 minute walk), but it was cute, quaint, and perfect for a short stay! the firepit was cozy, the kitchen was clean and fun to cook in, and the bathroom was fully stalked with everything we could have needed! 10/10 place to stay, would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Woodstock!!!!
Loved this beautiful park-like setting and house! The house was well appointed and decorated. The kitchen and bathroom/linens were well-stocked. The mattress was comfy. I was glad I brought my own pillow. The owner communicates very well and is very helpful. My only complaint is that drawers in bedroom and both in bathroom were filled with owners items so we’re not available for use. There was a closet and cubbies empty for storing items. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

Beautiful and peaceful!
Had a really lovely retreat from the city at Jill’s home. Very relaxing stay and well stocked all around. The huge windows really made us feel a part of nature! Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely tranquil spot in walking distance of Woodstock
My family of 5 (2 adults, 1 baby, 2 kids aged 3yr & 5yr) had a wonderful long weekend here. The house is not overlooked and has a lovely garden which the kids enjoyed playing in. It feels very rural but only 10min walk into Woodstock. Plenty of board games were available too.
There are 2 double bedrooms and a third bedroom with a sofa bed. One modern bathroom with tub and shower and the kitchen is well equipped.
We'd love to return and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful, well appointed retreat
We stayed at the house with the orange doors to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, and it was the perfect spot. The house is well appointed and beautifully cared for. We stayed in and enjoyed the fireplace almost the whole weekend.

Quiet, lovely, and convenient!
We had a wonderful stay at this house in Woodstock! It was peaceful and private yet easily accessible to town. The house was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. Three couples slept comfortably in the three bedrooms. The town offered some great dining and take-out options. All in all, a great spot for a lovely weekend getaway!

Fancy house in the woods
Nice place to stay. We really enjoyed the fireplace. Neighborhood is really quiet.
The description should be more explicit: there are beds for 6 + a couch which you can sleep on if you have a sleeping bag.

Perfect Winter Retreat - In the Woods but Walking Distance to Downtown Woodstock!
Jill’s house was wonderfully maintained - even more beautiful in person! - and was perfect for entertaining friends from out-of-state over New Years weekend. The house was located close enough to Downtown Woodstock that we were able to walk. (Most of us took the bus from NYC and one friend drove - while the trip would be doable on foot, having a car made it easier for our one grocery trip over the weekend.) The rear house door seemed to open straight into the woods and the scenery was beautiful with a slight cover of snow. Jill gave us detailed explanations about the house and surrounding neighborhood - the whole trip was so easy to coordinate and there was plenty to do. We also really appreciated that the house was stocked with board games. We loved Catskill Mountain Pizza Co. for casual dinner downtown. Our group had a great time and we would definitely recommend her cabin - hope to stay again soon!

We enjoyed staying at Jill 's house in Woodstock. The house is well located and clean. Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds . Jill was very easy to communicate with and even sent us a text when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed.
We enjoyed seeing the wild animals while having breakfast or lunch and the house is very relaxing.

What a lovely house!
My wife, 19 month old son, and I spent the weekend at Jill's house and it was the perfect escape from the city. The house is clean and very cozy. The views are gorgeous, especially watching deer graze all day long right outside the glass doors. The house is also a 5 minute walk to a creek where I took my son swimming and a 15 minute walk (or 3 minute drive) to downtown. It's also super close to great nature walks and Phoenicia where we had a great brunch at the Phoenica diner and took our son on an old fashion railroad.
I have no complaints about the house. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Thank you!

A pefect getaway; walking distrance to Woodstock.
This place is just perfect for a family or two couples (we are a family of one adult and two grown kids). The location is ideal - quiet, yet walking distance to town. A lovely porch and grill, deer in the distance, a fireplace, comfortable beds. It was just what we city-dwellers needed as a break from all the noise. We traveled to Kingston (for the Saturday morning market) and Hudson for the antiquing. We each had a lovely room. And Jill's description of the area and recommendations were very helpful. We would happily return!

Simple Stylish Home
We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this home. The large windows in every room were wonderful. The location was terrific for walking to town and to the Saw Kill. We found the house to be very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, etc,. The owner was responsive and pleasant to deal with. We would recommend the house to friends/relatives.
Meals:
We picked up some snacks at the supermarket on the way into town as well as at Sunflower Natural Foods Market and the wine store on 212. We had breakfast at Bread Alone each morning, because it was an easy walk. We had a decent Chinese dinner at The Little Bear. Pizza at Catskill Mountain Pizza was great. We had dinner at Cucina, which was good, but the uncomfortably hot wait of 50 minutes for our dinners made it a bit less enjoyable. It was also extremely noisy, so I would recommend eating on the terrace or in the smaller room. We had our other meals out of town. Ice cream at Taco Juan's was very good. We enjoyed a visit to Opus 40, but it was really buggy - bring some spray along. We also took trips to Hudson - beautiful restorations on Main St., very expensive shops - and Bard College/ Rhinebeck.
