The place had ample room for my family of 5. My big kids loved playing Pac-Man! Kitchen seemed well stocked too. Beds were comfortable but because of the wooden frames, it was very squeaky every time we moved around, but we had a nice stay.
We loved our stay here. The location was perfect for us…. Not too far up the mountain! The house had everything we needed and the kids and men enjoyed the Pac-Man and basketball arcade. Kevin was super nice and quick to respond to all my questions. We will definitely stay again if we go to Massanutten.
Check-in was easy, kitchen was well stocked, the house was mostly clean, but there was a musty smoke smell from the fireplace. We go used to it once we were there for a while, but it was was noticeable when we came back inside. Overall, it is a nice place.
We had a great time staying here for our weekend of hiking and hanging out. The hosts were very quick to respond to any issues that we had and were very helpful throughout the weekend. It's our second time staying here and we would stay again!
Perfect for what we needed. Smart tvs were great and pac man game was fun. Gas fireplace was also great.

Had a lovely time with friends while we visited out kids at JMU for parents weekend! about 20 minutes outside of town helped us avoid the craziness in Harrisonburg. Several restaurants out that way to avoid the crowds. Wifi was a bit of an issue and we had some trouble watching football games but otherwise fantastic!
Had a great long weekend stay for our annual friends & family ski trip. Listing photos were accurate portrayals. Had all of the basic necessities we needed for our trip! Only downside was we couldn’t get the fireplace to work.
Overall, pretty amazing stay. Would suggest replacing some of the kitchen pans due to loose handles and not enough utensils or plates. Would also suggest adding extra towels.
Overall great place would definitely recommend and be willing to come back!
The house was spacious with plenty of space in the main living area so everyone could be in the same area but not crammed. Only issue was two the remotes did not work for TVs in the bed room but that could have just been old batteries. we did not try to figure it out since it was a short stay. Good location and convenient to everything.Only recommendation would be to add mirrors to the 3 non master bed rooms. The only mirrors are in the bathrooms. It would make getting ready easier especially if there are multiple people getting ready at the same time. Would definitely stay there again if back in the area.
My family was traveling with family friends for a get away and family fun. The check in was very easy as the property is accessible via keypad. House was clean but obvious that it’s seen quite a lot of volume as remotes for things were nowhere to be found (or didn’t have working batteries), fireplace wasn’t working which was a huge bummer for us and the kids, and no access to mailbox so we never could receive a package which Amazon delivered. (Sadly forgot few things but couldn’t get the Amazon package!). Kevin was very responsive and helpful with questions we had throughout the stay but only so much could be done after check in. Luckily we were out enjoying many of the properties many things to do so much of the home challenges were minimal. The game room was a big hit! All the kids loved spending time in their own room and playing games. Overall I would definitely love to stay here again but would love to have it at tip top shape! Glad it’s getting plenty of visitors as it’s a very beautiful resort.

Piney mountain retreat
We were very disappointed in this property (more so the listing),I booked the house because of the amount of beds and they weren’t even what was listed. One bedroom listed a bunk bed with 2 other twin beds, called and was told the listing was incorrect so we were 2 beds short but there was a trundle under the bunk bed, we weren’t able to use because it was like laying on springs on the floor, not even a 6 year old could sleep on it so we were still 2 beds short. The bedroom off of the dining room was listed as a queen bedroom and it was only a double bed. We ended up with not enough room and 2-3 people that came with us that were planning on having a bed of their own ended up sleeping on a couch. The beds are very uncomfortable, they should probably just get foam mattresses because it feels like you’re sleeping on springs. The one floor layout is great but it’s actually a very small house. I wouldn’t recommend booking it for the maximum amount of guests. The kitchen is very small (but is pretty well equipped), the master bath shower sprays out of the shower unless you change it to a different setting and then it’s barely enough water to shower in. Outlets on the walls didn’t have covers on them so not safe for small children. The location is nice, property mgmt was helpful but wouldn’t recommend this house for more than 6-8 people. I was very disappointed after spending the money we did by booking this for our family vacation and not having the room we expected.
