"The Lakehouse" has an open living space on the edge of the quaint little village of Sheridan. Is is design as a duplex older couple occupy the upper unit. This unit is unique as it is aimed to provide a comfortable getaway for those requiring handicap features. Lake front walkout is just 50' from the lake shore and pet friendly ($50. additional fee per stay). One bedroom, semi handicapped with a full private bath, 36-in doors with handicap knobs. . A large queen size master bedroom with a desk and a small table looking at the lake with TV's in both the living area as well as the bedroom. In the summer there is a canoe, kaykas and a paddle boat with a firepit that are available. Property features includes 165 feet of lake frontage and within walking distance Ice Cream shop, bowling lanes, the no wake lake has a public beach with swimming area picnic tables, charcoal grill and a boat launch, you may ock your boat at the rental. Lawn chairs, picnic table and gas grill, are furnished at the rental also. You can also enjoy the cozy outside patio with lights and lounge around the fire pit. A quiet large backyard with a shallow bottom which gradually drops off past the end of the dock or stay inside and cozy up by the fireplace and watch a movies on WIFI, VHS and DVD are available. Fully equipped kitchen facilities. We have 3 local restaurants opened limited hours serving pizza, smoked and boasted items a long with many other choices. Heartland trails are just six miles away in Stanton.

Judy is an exceptional host who went above and beyond with hospitality! The sweet baked goods were delicious and the accommodations had everything we could have wanted! We also highly recommend this property for the added experiences available to use kayaks and a paddle boat on the serene lake as well as enjoying an evening campfire! Very, very clean and very well equipped too!

We enjoyed our stay. The property was on a small lake and there were kayaks to use with life jackets and paddles. Our grandson used one to enjoy the lake. The property was very quiet and we slept well. The host was more than gracious. she baked fresh bread, rolls and rhubarb crisps. They were great

The property is located right on the lake, is very comfortable and has many useful amenities. Judy was extremely communicative and made our stay very easy. It was our second time staying here, and would be happy to return again.

The AB&B was clean and easy to move around inside since I'm handicapped. There were delicious baked goods waiting on the counter when we arrived! We brought our 80lb lab with us so were limited to activities. Walked a nice paved trail just a few miles away. Met Judy and had a nice visit with her. A pleasant place to stay.

Home away from home

What a great place to stay. It was very comfortable and felt just like home with the added benefits of sweet treats and homemade bread. I came looking for a quiet place for a solo retreat and this place did not disappoint. Very peaceful and cozy. I can't wait to come back during another season.

We are retired and built the home to accommodate a care giver with a private entrance and living arrangements for when the time comes. For now we are happy to be able to share the beauty of the lake. The rental area is handicap accessible with 36' doors, an open floor plan, no stairs. and a French door entrance. We have had many visitors in our homes over the years and heard from many that they feel very comfortable in our home which we hope you'd feel the same. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Why they chose this property

Even though our road is well traveled the basement is very quiet, secluded and serene. You will find a fireplace, tread mill and pool table indoors and non motorized boats and a fire pit out doors with a wide game selection for in and outdoors. Our village has an ice cream store, bowling alley and VFW that offers BINGO within walking distance. We also have a General Dollar, Second hand store, small hospital and the 3 local restaurants full menu and Pizza. There is a 9 and 18 hole golf courses and a movie theater with in a 15 minute drive. We have some local craft items available for purchase.

What makes this property unique

Hostess will do everything within her power to make your stay a comfortable one. Home made treats are often available when time permits. This is a one-bedroom unit so no Children but pets are welcome as long as the owner picks up after them and pays for any damages should any occur. There is a single $50. additional charge for pets And they must be registered with VRBO.
